Option to Move Menubar OFF Window Titlebar!!

Post by bartman2589 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 7:47 am

It would be really nice if we could have the option of moving the Menubar (File/Edit/View/Play/Tools/Help) down off of the window titlebar in Windows 7!! This is essential due to the still unfixed bug in Windows 7 where when you maximize a window the text displayed in the titlebar does not have the user specified color choice applied to it and defaults to black text (which is a real problem when you're using a dark theme in Windows!!). I think this bug only exists for those of us who choose to disable the Aero transparency effect, regardless it is still enough of a nuisance that since Microsoft will not fix it (or is waiting until some major service pack to fix it) that something needs to be done to make the application more usable. On todays high resolution displays MediaMonkey is not short on window 'real estate' in which to display the menus I mentioned so there's no need to force the menus to appear on the window titlebar. This behaviour has the effect of making it look more like the ill reputed Internet Explorer 9 user interface in which everything is shoved to the top of the window and the user is not given any option to make the interface look like it did in the previous version (at least Firefox gives the user the option to move things around to look more like older versions, thankfully).
