Many Thanks! That's exactly what it was and I didn't even think to check.

Seems strange that it needs it but fair enough - I have my MM back again.

Cheers.

Hi, the failed detection could be caused by missing QuickTime, so ensure that you have QuickTime installed.

I have iTunes 10.6.1.7, iPod Touch 4, iOS 5.1 and all seems to work fine.

Current Beta doesn't recognise ipod touch 1st gen?

Hi,

I wasn't sure where to place this question. I am a long time MM user. After a serious system crash I had to rebuild my home PC (win7 Home Premium). I have installed MM and Itunes (10.6.1).

When I launch Itunes it recognises my ipod.
When I launch MM the ipod isn't available.

So I installed the latest Beta 4.0.5.1482 - same problem.

As a result there's no way to sync my touch.

Looking at the release notes it seems that MM should be able to recognise it and I've had a look around the forums and I don't see other people with the same problem.

Can someone help me get this ipod syncing again?

Please save me from iTunes!
