Scanning problem

by rusty » Wed Dec 19, 2007 10:22 pm

This issue is related to the fact that scanning is going on in the background.

It'll be tackled in a future release since a fix is likely to introduce other regressions.

RC5: Main window library scroll bar bug? [3880]

by keithke » Wed Dec 19, 2007 9:23 pm

This one's strange and hard to describe but I'll try:

1. RC5 clean install on Vista.
2. I've got MM full screen and in the Library, Artist & Album Artist view.
3. I'm rebuilding my Library so I've got a Task going in the background.
4. If I highlight a track by clicking on the Artist field and try to grab the scroll bar at the bottom and move it Right to see the remaining fields (Bit Rate, File Size, etc) the screen will flick back and forth from the "Artist" column to my mouse position on the scroll bar over and over (if i keep the mouse button clicked and held). If I let go of the scroll bar it "Snaps to" the "Artist" Column.

5. If, when selecting this track, i pick a field further to the right, say Filename and try the same thing it doesn't flick back and forth. The scroll bar actually stays where I put it.

It's like the selected column field on the selected line becomes the snap to field if that field falls out of the field of view. Does that make sense? In the first screen shot I clicked on the "Artist" box when selecting that track. In the second I clicked on the Filename box when selecting it.

hope the images show for you.
