You can set any keys for volume control that you like.

Using beta 3.1 1219 in unskinned mode.

I find the small vertical volume slider in the bottom right corner difficult to use, and wonder if there is a keystroke combination comparable to the F8/F9 in Win Media Player to adjust the volume.
