Re: Gapless Playback, NOT Remove Silence!

I just happened upon this topic, but wanted to note that your solution does not work on my PC through a Sound Blaster Z card, unfortunately., Although I would prefer true gapless, use of the "remove silence" option has been acceptable to me (and, I used to be a purist about gapless, FLAC, ...

Re: iPhone iOS 10

Hi guys, Same thing happened to me after doing the iTunes (12.5.3) & iPhone 6+ (10.1.1) upgrade. I tried for days everything on this forum and still my iPhone did not show in MediaMonkey. Finally I removed the Apple Application Support (32-bit) from the Control Panel Programs. Then I deleted th...

Re: How to retain sort order in Music view?

What about View used and are you using Back button or do you just select the Music node in the Media Tree again. Lastly make sure you're at least on MediaMonkey 4.0.7 (even better test with the latest 4.1 beta from the Beta Forum). I am using the latest Gold release, not beta. But, I've seen this b...

Re: How to retain sort order in Music view?

I can't reproduce. I clicked to the "Music" node, and changed the sort order to Genre, then Title. I then performed a search using the toolbar. After the tracklist fully populated, I clicked back to the 'Music' node and the previous sort order was still Genre, then Title. Let me know if I...

Re: How to retain sort order in Music view?

Thanks, that is rather disappointing, since I expect each view (playlist or not) to save the most recent sorting order and not offer entirely random sortings, but maybe I need to do everything in playlists for now on. Seems a waste, since the Music view is already there for getting at my entire coll...

How to retain sort order in Music view?

Hi Folks, One annoyance from MediaMonkey Gold (latest update, but I've seen this at least since moving to v4) is that I sort my Music view by: Artist (primary) Album (secondary) Track (tertiary) This is obtained by either clicking the columns in reverse order (i.e., Track column first) or Clicking o...

Re: Last Played and Played # data being erased?

I feel that a "play" should not be limited to a start-finish listen only. Right. Played Date & Counter script may help you: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55222 I replied in that topic - thanks very much for this useful script, it's exactly what I hoped to fi...

Re: Played Date & Counter v1.2 [MM3+] Updated 2011-02-14

Thank you for this script, as the threshold time is perfect for how I tend to expect adding new entries to the "most recent played" autoplaylist. Is that threshold time counting elapsed play time for each track - regardless of Pauses? And, does switching between tracks automatically reset ...

Re: Last Played and Played # data being erased?

I'm joining in because I would like to know if there's a way to tell MM that tracks I listend to for about 70% or more have been 'heard'. I often skip a currently playing song to affect my AutoAccurateRating or I want to hear another track... But MM does only increase the Played# und Last Played ta...

. . . Incidentally, I did some tests last night with my Sansa and iPod and MM did just sync files that had changed. Be sure that you don't have "All Music" selected as an option for what to sync. I'm not sure, but this may make it sync everything regardless of whether it's on the device o...

Yeah, MM is a great program but this seems an overlooked design area. That is, If MM can be configured to delete files on the device which are not in autosynchronization lists, then we know it scours the device for files before or during a synch. Which means that it can be made smart enough to not s...

RC4: .pla missing or empty after playlist synch to device

Greetings, Background: Using MM3 RC4 with a COWON D2 in MTP mode, have created standard Library Playlists in MM. Scenario(s): If I rely on either Autosynchronization or "Send To... (synch)" to send a MM Library Playlist to my device, the following general results are seen: Results: * Added...

I've found that MediaMonkey 2.5x and 3.0rc4 generally autosynch well with the COWON D2 in MTP mode. I use MTP mode because it's the only way to have MM generate binary .pla playlists (i.e., the D2 does not use plain text playlists). Problems include: 1. All files are recopied on every synch (regardl...
