Re: MM and SqueezeBox Script
Any likely date when a more finished release for those illiterate in scripting (like me) might appear? I'll second that. Just not sure if it's one script or a script plus an addon that you put in the SC folder. Maybe some install instructions would help. Plus what you have to edit to make it work f...

Re: Review Media Players on Lifehacker
I've found that only serious music lovers seem to know about MediaMonkey and it has a good rep with them even if they don't use it.

I think it all will depend on what the developers of Mediamonkey want to become. They can stay what they are now with a niche crowd of hardcore fans and maybe be successful enough to survive. The other choice is to become bigtime and to do that they will have to lure the people with the largest comp...

Cultured Perl: Fun with MP3 and Perl, Part 1 http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-cpmp31.html Thanks very much Owyn, looks promising. It's more about self-building an own script than using a precompiled exe (I was awaiting), but I'll have a closer look on some long lonely evening... Ye...

Another strange one.
MM says I have 200 out of 900 albums with no date. The problem is that they have dates and they show up in foobar, dbpoweramp my Squeezebox etc etc. I use only ID3v2.3 tags. The weird part is that it sees the other 700 albums tags right. If I use mp3tag or dbpoweramp and deleted the dates on the one...

Unsynchronized tags problem.
I think it's a problem but it might be that I have never understood fully the Unsynchronized tags under Files to edit in the tree. I just cleared my library an hour ago and scanned in my new library on a new USB drive. It went fine and I was doing some volume leveling when I decided to click on the ...

Why the urge to go lossless on a portable? I mean I could see it if you were going to just so you could easily move your flac files to it, but since you are thinking of transcoding anyway why not go lame 3.97 and encode to a 192 variable bit rate. To most people this is transparent, and maybe even 1...

Re: Filtering out filetypes (e.g. m4a)
You could also create a filter to do that if you wanted.SteffenL wrote:I am new to MM and need to filter out my m4a files from a huge mp3 collection. How is that done??
Thank you for any help
Edit: Alright, found the "Type " column

Re: Support for Media players expansion slots (SD and such)
So no option in the settings mode on the sansa for USB mode like on my E270? Well hop over to Woot right now and pick up a refurb E260 4GB for $50 shipped, then rockbox it when you get it. You will love rockbox.

Re: Support for Media players expansion slots (SD and such)
Just change your USB mode to MSC instead of MTP mode. Also make sure your firmware is updated in your sansa. This should work for any player that supports both modes. Sometimes it's called something else other than MSC. Meadiamonkey sees both the player and the card and can copy to both. Enjoy Unfo...

Re: Support for Media players expansion slots (SD and such)
It would be nice, if i could tell MM to treat two drives as one player (Flash memory + sd slot) I'd like to see this as well. I just purchased a Sansa C250 2gb player and added a 2gb microSD card. XP SP2 sees both as separate entities; MM does not. I've been loading this player with MP3s but having...
