Genre Finder 5.0 not working

I just installed this script and it appears to run ok but it updated nothing at all. (I blanked out the Genre so I would immediately know if it filled in even a single one).
I also tried "Autotag from Web" but that does not appear to be working either.

Re: Comments in INI file

That is precisely what I am doing right now.
I do not know what is going on "behind the scenes" thus I don't know how tough it would be implement.
I just threw that out there as a suggestion that the authors could look at at some future date.

Retain comments in the mediamonkey.ini file

When you start MediaMonkey, it reads certain parameters from a Mediamonkey.INI file. When you later close Mediamonkey, the Mediamonkey.INI file is re-written to capture any changes you have made to those parameters (for example, you may have switched skins) My .INI file contains comments (lines pref...

Re: 4.1.4.1709 - APPCRASH when playing mp3 with double click

I followed the instructions you gave earlier in this thread but in the "Advanced Options for working with Teamviewer", I cannot find a box to enable/disable QuickConnect buttons. Are you sure your instructions still apply to the current version or is that something they have discontinued s...

Re: Comments in INI file

I realize, that is what it DOES (I said so in my original post). The question was, how can I avoid that behaviour? Maybe there are different ways to specify a comment (e.g. using asterisks-es and/or slashes) that will not be removed? Maybe there is a way to submit this as a suggestion for an enhance...

Re: 4.1.4.1709 - APPCRASH when playing mp3 with double click

Had a similar problem a couple of days ago: If I start MediaMonkey first and then Teamviewer, everything works as expected. If I run Teamviewer first and then try to start Mediamonkey, Mediamonkey will not start. The error message is not informative at all and merely states "Mediamonkey has sto...

Re: \INIFILE parameter ignored

I'm glad it worked for you. Unfortunately that does not help me. I am at the point where I am ready to build some sort of batch file to copy one of 3 ini files (one to point to "M", one for \\Server, and one for "D") over top of the existing mediamonkey.ini file. Oh yeah: I also ...

Re: \INIFILE parameter ignored

I have attempted to specify an INI file on a network drive using UNC nomenclature (\\server\path...) as well as on a network drive using a mapped drive (M:\path...) as well as on an external drive (D:\path...) Not one of those options appears to work: it simply ignores the \INIFILE command parameter...

\INIFILE parameter ignored

When invoking MediaMonkey via a desktop shortcut, I would like to be able to use the \INIFILE command line parameter. i.e. the TARGET of of the shortcut should contain C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.exe" /INIFILE="\\serverpath\MediaMonkey_Common.ini" Madiamonkey appear...

Re: Mediamonkey does not use correct ini file

Now I'm really stumped: on machine 1 it appears to be using the common ini file on the NAS but on machine 2 it appears to use the local ini file. I renamed the local .ini file to .ini.old and when I re-opened MediaMonkey, it treated me as a new user i.e. I had to specify the location of my music and...

Re: Mediamonkey does not use correct ini file

Yes, the path is valid and accessible, and mapped to drive letter "M" on all machines. You asked me to search for .ini files - There is a (common) .ini file on the network drive plus a (default) .ini file on each computer. (The default .ini file gets created when MediaMonkey gets installed...

Mediamonkey does not use correct ini file

Hi there, I run MediaMonkey on one of several machines and usually start it via a shortcut that specifies the location of the ini file eg.: "C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.exe" /INIFILE="M:\Music\Ini-files & Databases\MediaMonkey_Common.ini". Recently, I notic...
