[SOLVED] use Directory name to populate Album field?
Hello, I want to fill in the missing ALBUM field using the directory name that the files are located in. Across about 4500 files, so I want to automate/batch this operation. I've poked around the stock 'files to edit' node but not finding what I want to do. Anyone have any ideas or places to poke ar...

Adding unwanted files to library
MM GOLD, version 4.1.7. The way that I process new music into my collection is causing MM to add the tracks even though they remain OUTSIDE of my monitored folders. Here is my flow: Edit tags using MP3Tag. Navigate through 'My Computer' node in MM to find the files, then MOVE them to a TEMP director...

Apply Album Art to all files in Album/Series
I have MM set to automatically find Album Art if it is missing, and also set to 'save' missing artwork when it finds it. That seems to only work on the track playing, though, correct? If I right-click on the 'found' Album Art and select Edit Artwork Properties, I have the option to check the box nex...

Remove Ratings from all tracks in library
I want to remove all the ratings from the tracks in my library.
Approx. 135,000 tracks, some have ratings and some don't, but I want them all gone.
What is the most efficient way to remove the ratings?
Thanks.

Re: How big is you music collection? (2)
I have approx. 140,000 tracks on a 5TB drive, plus backups on drives at home and offsite. I have also uploaded everything to Amazon Music, which has a capacity of 250,000 tracks. I have my music divided across 9 VERY broad and arbitrary folders: Blues, Gospel, Old 78s, etc. Ambient, Chillout, Hip-Ho...

Re: Filename inconsistencies and Duplicate content
You don't need a script to rename files. That is the function built right in to MediaMonkey at Tools > Auto-organize Yes, I understand that and use that functionality all the time to move new music into my collection, thanks. What I want to be able to do is identify which tracks are named with arti...

Re: Filename inconsistencies and Duplicate content
Now that I am reading about a few more of the scripts here, I am thinking that I might have good luck with:
Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.8.2 (2014-01-27)
This seems to have some of the parameters I am looking for (filename convention, date added, bitrate priority, etc)

Filename inconsistencies and Duplicate content
Looking for help with filename inconsistencies, and duplicate content. First, thanks for the script work, it is great to have so many resources. I have approx 125,000 tracks in MMGold (Lifetime). Early on, I named filenames: artist - track# - title. Later I named them track# - artist - title. I woul...

Re: Need advice for listening outside of home
I just upgraded to the latest version, 4.1 In order to re-see my files after I moved the drive to the router, I went to OPTIONS | LIBRARY | FILE MONITOR and navigated through My Network which showed the workgroup which showed the router name which showed the drive letter and name, so I checked the d...

Re: Need advice for listening outside of home
Okay, that thread looks like what I am after to get access from 'outside.'
I'll give that a try here in a little and report back, thanks again!

Re: Need advice for listening outside of home
Thanks again, dtsig- My main goal is accessing drive from outside of home network, and was hoping to use the MM I have installed on my Nook HD+ or on my laptop. I can use something else on either if that is what needs to happen. At the house, I don't really care about within the wireless network str...

Re: Need advice for listening outside of home
Thanks for the quick reply. Ok, I removed the USB drive from the computer and plugged it into the router. When I open the AiDisk tab on the router interface, it says this: ______________________________________________ Welcome to AiDisk wizard [Go to APP Gallery] After configuring the settings in Ai...
