Dead links dito: doesn't do a thing. Anyway what is the intended solution: dead links or remove unused atrists and albums (which doesn't say anything about an entree which doesn't exist, but is a known artis on a known album). As there are more problems with the use of an Acces Database, as the ...

That was the solution that I thought of too, however it didn't work. I have taken now a more drastic approach: delete the database file manually, rescan. However that is not what I expected from software that claims to be "Gold"

Removing non-existing entree from database

Maybe I overlook an option, but after renaming, moving and deleting files, there entree under Artist or Album etc. is still present. When I try to play them, of course that doesn't work, the entree is false. But how do I remove those?

Beeps

I found the Windows option finally.
However I understand that one of two options will do. If you only want to switch of beeps using MM, use the MM option, if you want to get rid of the beeps with any program, use the Windows procedure.

Thanks for the help and explanations

Unwanted Beeps

:-? Since I switched from WinAmp to MM as MP3 player, I have these irritating "Beeps" preceding a track.

How do I switch those off?

MDCA 2.7 SP1

Have installed MDAC 2.7 SP1 Refresh. But problem is the same. Go and find Jet now. But again, question: is your analys of the problem consistent with the fact that Access (Office XP Pro, legal version) compresses MM- mbd file without probs, nor does MM has a problem with this, new, MM-mbd. Nor does ...

:o , two questions:
1 MM is most unlikely the only user of this MDA/Jet. So how can I check if MDA/Jet is the problem (which apllications))?
2 On MicroSoft Downloads are 19 updates, where do I find the correct new installation?

Error message

If I want to compact the database I get the following message:
"Problem with compacting: Class not registered".

I use XP Pro/Office XP Pro, compacting in Access is no problem. Still, the unregistered class points, to my opinion, to a database prblem, rather than the set up of my system.

Playlists

I am looking for a automated way to calculate the total time of a playlist. As there default playlists suggesting that they are automatically 74 minutes, respectivel 650 Mb, I assume that there is such possibility in MM.

LS,
This time in English, LOL
Is it possible to convert large MP3 files to smaller ones, e.g. from bitrate 320 to bitrate 192?
And if that is possible, can it be done using MonkeyMedia or do I need another program to do it.
Thanks in advance
