Re: Better sorting for tracks that start with a number.

That doesn't surprise me.
I could live with using 10000 Maniacs instead of 10,000 Maniacs, if MM would at least put 10000 after 300 etc. :)

Re: Drag & Drop within playlists.

Firstly, apologies for taking so long to come back on this. Life gets in the way sometimes. Anyway, the problem is solved. I'm embarrassed to tell you what was causing it in the end. It was an old, worn-out mouse. Simple as that. Holding the button down to drag things was failing & it kept dropping ...

Re: Drag & Drop within playlists.

Yes, in Now Playing. I've restarted the computer several times since I first noticed this. It's weird. I click & hold down on a track, or selection of tracks. Every so often it works as normal, but as often as not it just highlights more tracks as I drag, or deletes everything above the one I've sel...

[SOLVED] Drag & Drop within playlists.

I have AutoDJ set up to keep a constantly updated playlist of 10 random tracks. I often then load complete albums I fancy hearing between every couple of random tracks, by loading them as "play last", then dragging them to wherever in the playlist I want them. Recently, dragging & dropping within a ...

Re: Media Monkey fails to start WinX

So this is odd. The System Restore failed again, so just for the hell of it I clicked the icon to launch MediaMonkey again. Nothing happened as before, but this time I just left it. After a very, very long time (well over an hour I think), a box appeared asking me if I wanted to allow MediaMonkey to...

Re: Media Monkey fails to start WinX

I'm having a similar problem. MediaMonkey (latest version) now refuses to fully start up on my laptop. If I open the task manager I can see it listed in currently running processes, using between 40 & 60% of the CPU, but it never gets any further. I don't see a splash screen because I think I tuned ...

Re: High memory usage all of a sudden

I had 5. Auto Album DJ (which I've now removed as I could never get that to work properly, anyway.) Clean Import ClearNowPlaying Forget Crossfade MP2 Input Plugin These were all present long before this issue showed up, though. I do think I've managed to fix the problem. When I went into the file mo...

Re: High memory usage all of a sudden

I have a similar problem, but disconnecting my external drive is not an option. I've always kept all my music on a 2TB external USB 2.0 drive. This is the ONLY drive MM reads while monitoring. Music is played directly from that drive & it has no problem with that. It hasn't been a problem at all unt...

Debug Error & can't turn off Continuous Scan

I run MediaMonkey 4.1.16.1836 on a laptop, running 32 bit Windows 10 I use the laptop almost exclusively to play music. My library (some 160,000 tracks) is kept on an external USB 2.0 drive. The laptop is also networked to my desktop. While listening to music, I process new rips on the desktop. I fi...

Re: Stop After...

Firstly, I have no idea what you mean by "Advanced Playlists", but that wasn't quite what I was suggesting. I never make playlists. I always run MediaMonkey with AutoDJ selecting random tracks from a very large library. When I want to hear a complete album, I use play next, or play last to insert it...

Stop After...

It's a little thing, but there's something that has been on my personal wishlist for a long time... The Play menu has a "Stop After Current" link, which is useful, but... I would really love to be able to right-click any track currently in the playlist & select "Stop After This Track". A useful addi...

Re: Convert format selecting more tracks than intended.

I selected ALL within the Unprocessed Flac Files folder that contained nothing but subfolders full of files I wanted to convert. The Files in the Woven Wheat Whispers folder were completely separate. Had I selected ALL one level up, that would explain it, but I didn't.

Re: Convert format selecting more tracks than intended.

The latest version. It's very odd. As far as I can see, it only touched files that were in the very next folder, alphabetically. I selected my folder - Unprocessed Flac Files - in My Computer, as you assumed & clicked ALL to load all the files I needed to convert. There were a lot, so I went away & ...

Convert format selecting more tracks than intended.

I noticed something worrying recently. I wanted to convert a huge number of tracks from flac to VBR0 mp3. I had them in a folder on my main music drive which was intentionally not included in my library. I opened this folder & selected all - to select everything in dozens of flac album folders. I se...
