Ok I have itunes 8.1.0.52 installed and this syncs up with my Ipod touch v2.1.1(Jailbroken) Mediamonkey 3.1.0.1242 Still will not recognise the Ipod, any ideas of other stuff to check? Thanks, due to other problems, I have just re installed windows (don't ask). So will get that version of itunes installed asap.

When you upgraded did it restore all settings on ipod to defaults? I am wondering if it worth restoring the ipod via itunes but am reluctant to do it due to the time it will take to set it all back up/jailbreak it again

Just tried replacing the following files from previous builds (1237 and 1235): d_iPhone.dll d_iPod.dll also tried updating itunes and Apple Mobile Device support finally tried reinstalling 1240 as I have said previously itunes detects and syncs with ipod with no problems, mediamonkey will not pick ...

I have had same problem since installing 1240, itunes can detect and sync to ipod but mediamonkey will no longer

I get this problem,
Try turning your ipod off by holding down the sleep button on top left and sliding to power off
turn back on using the sleep button
the music database seems to be rebuilt and you can now access your songs
you don't seem to get any album art though
