ipod sync accidentally deleting files?

When syncing my ipod (old-school ipod 60GB) (MM rc-4), it will occasionally tell me that a song has been modified on the device, and do I wish to copy over the existing song. Thinking this means update the ratings, etc., I have been picking "yes". Now I discover that the songs have been erased from ...

One more small shuffle mode tweak... [4003]

When I'm shuffling songs, if I delete the currently playing song, the player will seek another random song, but the "now playing" window does not scroll to that place in the list, so I then have to search for it if I want to edit any tags. Once it eventually goes to the next song, it scrolls to the ...

2 bugs with shuffle mode RC2 [4002]

Hey guys. 2 bugs, but may be part of the same bug: I have my whole collection (>20K songs) on shuffle mode right now. It works fine until it randomly falls on a podcast, and then pressing the "next song" button will only go to another podcast, no matter how many times I push "next song". If I move t...

ratings changed in ipod do not sync to database

I couldn't find this addressed by anybody else...

Any rating changes I make in the ipod are not transferred to the database, even if I check the box in the settings panel.

Anybody else having this problem?

My bad...

Sorry guys. Just had the wrong password. That's what happens when I forget to eat dinner.

[Insert embarrassed smiley face here.]

But if that's the only 'problem' I've found so far, then it must be pretty good!

Thanks for the help anyway!

MM3b2 can't read some podcasts

1) Love the program, etc. 2) Most podcasts are easily subscribed to. However, I can't get the program to recognize a particular podcast, and am wondering if it's laid out in an unconventional way that MM doesn't recognize? I haven't tried it on another podcast program, but it loads up easily as a fi...

Another suggestion

A quick suggestion that I already brought up in a PM...

For people that don't always have an internet connection, it might be helpful to have it revert a selection to the default playlist if the last.fm connection times out.

Keep up the good work!

Now there is no error, but also no song!

Thanks so much for getting back to me...

Now there is no error. However, it queries last.fm, and then doesn't add a song to the playlist!

I tried it a few times and emailed you the log file. Each new song on the list is one I added to the playlist.

Thanks again!

Repeating Error #424 or #91

Hi! First of all, thank you for a brilliant idea... once this gets worked out, this script is going to be huge! In any case, I can't get it to work. As it gets to the last song, it pulls up an error message (usually #424, object required...line 78, column 12) that is quickly covered by a billion "er...
