Going from 5.1.x or 2024.x to 5.0.x is not recommended. There are certain changes in the database that can cause issues.

Which MediaMonkey are you inquiring about? For MediaMonkey for Windows you can buy a version license which is valid for all releases in that version, or Lifetime license which is valid for the current and future versions.

M3U is supported pretty widely, but you have other options including PLS.

Yes, MP3 (lossy) is lower quality than FLAC (lossless). It will depend on what settings you used for MP3 in how much you'd experience this quality loss (ie. 320kbps MP3 would generally sound the same for most people).

Are you using MediaMonkey 5.0.5? It is the only version this is working on.

That would generally follow some edits. Are you (or Addons you use) editing tags prior to this starting? Which Build (Help > About) are you seeing this on?

You'll need to investigate (or experiment) what the device supports regarding Playlists. MediaMonkey has different options on how to Sync Playlists.

Note that this issue isn't present in MediaMonkey 5 and up.
