That is nice to hear. I tried that a more than a few months ago and did not have any success.
Still waiting for the native Linux version though

Re: Let me be blunt
I agree with that concept. All I and anyone else really cares about is that there we have a field to the put data we want to into. I will have to look into the CustomX stuff - if it can be renamed so to reflect the contents then that is a perfect solution. While "find Custom1=x" works, &qu...

Re: Let me be blunt
re. new metadata fields particularly for classical music - would be interested in more details, i.e. which fields are the most important for you, how do you usually populate them, etc. There's definitely quite a lot we could improve for classical music. Jiri For me the most important information ab...

Re: does mm5 include Chromium engine?
Only the frontend (and few other parts, where it made sense) is implemented in Chromium. The backend stays mostly the same, with the necessary changes for MM5 new features and also some optimizations, so that some operations are actually quite faster than in MM4. Jiri Excellent, that's what I was h...

Re: does mm5 include Chromium engine?
One thing I have been wondering about MM5 is if the entire application was being done on the chromium engine or just the frontend? If the backend is changing was there any noticeable performance impact on large databases?

Re: Let me be blunt
re. MM4 vs MM5 - good idea to better communicate the new features. We definitely don't want to make MM5 dumbed down, but it should be easier to use than MM4, even for an average user. So, in case you miss anything anywhere, we'd love to hear about it. Jiri I felt like MM5 was more simple user frien...

Re: [Request] Configure how albums are defined in album view
I was referring to a the view where it shows the album art with the album name underneath (and the artist or album artist below that). It looks like your guys right though, checking a few of them showed that somehow the album artist field was the same as the artist field. Probably user error. Thanks...

Re: Features Request
Are you sure MM5 doesn't have high DPI support? I'm not an expert on this but I would have thought most of that would be free from using chrome as the base.

[Request] Configure how albums are defined in album view
Hi, In album view/browser they albums are defined as <album, artist> pairs which does not always work, particularly for compilation or collaboration albums. Can it be made to just be by album name or make the criteria for aggregation configurable? For example given the songs in the give format: form...

Re: remotely controlling MMW using android phone
While this mmremote does say it does what I was asking, I would still like to see this capability integrated into MM so it doesn't require third party server component. Thanks for pointing me to mmremote though, I will probably be using it in meantime.

[Request] Control MMW (server) from MMA
Hi,
Maybe this belongs as a completely separate application, but I would like to have basic control over my MMW (or MM linux if it ever happens) from my Android device. It would be quite nice to not have to go to the computer to stop, resume, skip tracks, check what is playing &c.

Re: When will you port to Linux?
I realize this is an old thread but I wanted add my vote for a linux version. Never thought there was much chance of MM on linux (natively) but with changes in MM5 there is a sputtering candle of light in the vast gloomy darkness now.

[Request] Control MMW via MMA
Hi, I would like to be able to control MMW via MMA so I don't have to go to my computer every time I want check or change something. I realize this probably quite outside how MMA and MMW currently communicate but sInce MM5 is under development maybe you can squeeze this in as a stretch feature. Than...

Re: [Bug]Album art in notification bar not updated properly
Still present in version 1.07.0294. Also I noticed that in order to refresh the album art in the notification screen I have to bring MMA back to focus/foreground and then return it to background (i.e. open MMA and then push home or go to another app). This also only happens when MMA is not foregroun...

[Bug]Album art in notification bar not updated properly
The album art in the notification bar is not updated until MMA is focused app. Did not see this in the bug tracker but posting it here fist just in case I missed it.
