You are absolutely right! I was in My Computer node and adding the files to the library solves the problem. I didn't want to scan the files in case that did something unwanted and irreversible to the tags which have taken a very long time to compile. Thank you very much, especially for responding so...

There is no option to select Discogs in this update.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing in MM run as Admin'.

Using Win 7.
