missing post

I posted a question on the forum earlier today and came back to see if there had been a response and the post is not there.

copy tags

Hooray! Yippee! Huzzah!!
I'm the same as you and have spent way too much time re-tagging "updated" files. This script is gonna save my fingers a lot of walking.

Kudus and thanks.

Personally I have an autoplaylist called "Ready to burn" which checks the Comments field for "BURNME", which I add to the Comments of any track I want to burn. However, couldn't you easily create a manual playlist of the tracks, and then burn the playlist? What annoys me about burning is that you c...

calling MM from an outside program

I can't seem to find the proper way to call MM to play audio files from an outside program. (I have the proper file associations set up to call on a click from folders etc.) I have used the "C:/program files/MediaMonkey/mediamonkey.exe" in various forms and no go. Is there another way that this shou...

magic nodes error

I think the problem is because you are naming one of your Custom fields "Genre" - why are you doing this when there is already a Genre field? Just plain dense from being new to MM. When I eliminated all custom nodes in MM magic nodes started fine, but I received errors when trying to create a node....

magic nodes error

Ok, the reason for the error isn't any invalid nodes then. Line 82 is about the custom2 field. Perhaps you have named that field into an already existing name (like Composer). If so try to rename it into something else. Magic Nodes will not work otherwise. /Bex I removed all "custom" names and what...

Delete Duplicates and reorg all the files.

I agree with roving cowboy and lowlander. You may want to keep songA in two forms; recording studio and a live recording. They will have the same title, same artist, perhaps only a difference in album title.

edit arist name - doesn't update file directory

Hi Jeffer

I'm fairly new to MM but I believe after you make the changes you'll need to go down to files to edit, unsynchronized tags and scan, select the results and then sychronize.

CustomNodeMasks = Magic Nodes The entries found under [CustomNodeMasks] are your magic nodes so try to delete the one that triggered the error. There no are sections in either ini file dealing with any type of "magic nodes" in any way, shape or form. I have pasted them below so that if there is som...

Also, the section is actually called [CustomNodeMasks] - my mistake! :) Found the ini file where trixmoto said it would be and there is no section for magic nodes in there even under CustomNodeMasks. Searched both my hard drives for any other file and there are only the two. Frustrating huh?

magic nodes error

Open MediaMonkey.ini in a text editor, find the [CustomNodes] section and delete whichever node you just added which is not working. Then when you start MM it should work as normal. There is no section in the MM ini to delete. Since the installation instructions didn't call for creating one, I didn...

Genre node missing

The Genre node is missing in my tree. I have tried using magic node, couldn't get it to work. Downloaded Windows scripting, same results. What do I do to get it back?
