Re: MM5 5.0.0.2336 RC-8 White Screen On Startup

I've just done a new install of MM 5.0.0.2336 non-portable (the system has never seen MM, any version, before) and I get the white screen of blank-do-nothingness immediately upon launch. There is a brief moment where I see there is something to configure but it disappears so quickly. I think it's as...

Re: Mediamonkey 5?

I keep considering buying a license as I am a long time user of MM and for a very brief moment every now and then I feel a pang of guilt that I just keep using the beta and getting all the paid features (or at least I think I am). I've recently updated my version 5 "beta" and once again I ...

Re: STOP automatically adding removable drives

you forgot a "Possible solution" - prompt the user "Would you like to add this device to MM and use it for syncing?"
Then remember that device by serial number or some other fancy method.
Thank you for humoring my request.

STOP automatically adding removable drives

It needs to be an option. DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY ADD DRIVES. I have 500 drives, devices or whatever under "portable device sync" and the worst part is: Every once in a while I'm working on a customer drive or just copying a bunch of files to a flash drive. I try to "Eject" the driv...

Re: MM 4.1.23.1881 minor auto-DJ bug

I'm thinking this isn't a problem from MM side (well, MM could try to be a bit more patient!), but an issue with performance on my media server. I've noticed my server will occasionally go Not Responding for several seconds now and then. I need to do a surface test on a couple drives. These Not Resp...

Re: MM 4.1.23.1881 minor auto-DJ bug

@ Lowlander - it will have the configured number of files queued up. As suggested I currently have it set for 1 file, I will have the last played, the currently (should be) playing and the next up in the Auto DJ/Now Playing list. @ Peke - I cannot say when it stopped. When I took a break about 1/2 w...

Re: MM 4.1.23.1881 minor auto-DJ bug

Nope - after about 1.5 hours of yard work I've come back to it inexplicably stopped again.

Re: 1170: Shuffle doesn't shuffle

Sorry if something similar has been suggested, but I'm not going to read this entire thread to find out. My suggestion is to create a Not Heard Recently playlist. Whatever rules you like plus Last Played > (Days Ago) 21 (or however many days you'd prefer.) http://nauip.no-ip.org/NHR.PNG You can then...

MM 4.1.23.1881 minor auto-DJ bug

For no discernible reason 4.1.23.1881 auto-DJ will just stop playing after a song or 3. This is a minor nuisance. There is no error and I can simply hit play again but it will replay the last song it was playing. Hitting Next plays the next track normally. I have a mix of FLAC and MP3 and it does no...

Re: Multiple CPU, CD to FLAC ripping

Just to pile on to this, but the limitation is not CPU or software here. The limitation is the year 2000 tech you're relying on to read. CD/BD ROM drives are going to top out (theoretically) at around 8 or 16 MB/s and that's assuming optimal perfect conditions. Because as soon as there's the slighte...

Re: No aac/mp4 support with final MM4 on W7 [#8772]

https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA16-105A - now what? Do we need to keep vulnerable/insecure software installed to continue to play aac/mp4?

MM4 fails spectacularly upon network disconnect

If you're playing from a networked source and that source disappears MM4 will become 100% unresponsive. If you're playing a song at that time it will permanently loop on what I'm assuming is in whatever buffer is used. This is what might be called Undesirable Behavior. Replicating the problem is eas...

Re: Lack of any "cleanup" process. Slow Sync remedy inside!

I have upgraded to 8.3 and then 8.4 shortly after. After each upgrade only the initial sync was quick. Subsequent updates/syncs are again slow as ... something inexplicably slow. It seems until this is resolved this is the only way to get quick syncs with extremely large libraries. My process curren...

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]

I also am having incredibly slow syncs... again. I was trying to sync ~ 3000 songs on to my iphone 6 and it took about 2 hours and it got stuck at around the 400th song. I just downloaded the latest beta to see if it was any better. The previous version was stalled at around 200, so maybe the 1750 b...
