Re: Connect MM to external drive
I'm wondering if MMA has trouble seeing the drive because the external drive is a 1T drive and is NTFS formatted. Could this be the issue?

Re: Connect MM to external drive
Thanks, but it isn't. Folders only show me "internal storage" and "external storage SD card". It does not show me the external drive.

Connect MM to external drive
Couldn't find anything on this (maybe I didn't look hard enough). I connected my Samsung Note 4 to an external drive containing my music library. Using ES file explorer, I can navigate to the drive and play songs using the native music player. I have a purchased MM for Android app and - try as I mig...

Re: Date Created Column [#6481]
Thanks for the update, Lowlander. (this is threazy.) Any idea why this suggestion has been sitting in the feature-request bin so long without action? Seems like such a small and easy addition.

MM Server Home/Media Tree - how can I edit it?
I just bought and downloaded MMA and am excited that I can connect to my MMW server function to "get at" and play my music library content on my Samsung Note 4. There is something, however, that I cannot figure out how to do, and it's bugging me. When I connect to the MMW server through UP...

Re: Can I Play directly from an MP3 player
This is an interesting thread - I'm using MM 3.1 and have no problem at all playing music directly from my iPod. Maybe because it's a very old 2G iPod. My problem (that brought me to this thread) is that I can't scan the music on the iPod into my library. I'll keep looking for an answer to that one....

Genres & Classifications
I agree with "BillyGates" that this is an interesting thread ... so of course I'd like to add my two cents as well. (I'm a newbie so I have searched all the threads yet to fully inform my comments, so please bear with me.) As said by several previous posters, selecting a Genre is a persona...

Thanks for the response, Lowlander -- I'm still not sure I understand the laptop example: I get that you don't want to duplicate the network library on the laptop, that you want to copy only some of the music to the laptop for transport (kind of like a manually managed iPod with iTunes). If they're ...

newbie question: What, exactly, is "Virtual CD"
I just bought a copy of MM gold and appreciating it's flexibility and power. I have not, however, been able to understand what exactly this "Virtual CD" business is all about. I'm used to the iTunes and MP paradigm of "insert CD, recognize CD and get data, rip tracks to library"....
