Re: Best/Most Currently In Use High Quality Format

That's true. For iOs devices MMW cannot sync files for anything other than the native Music app (ex iTunes). The latest version of Onkyo's player syncs from several cloud sources. Vox, I believe, syncs from its own cloud service. There is at least one iOs FLAC player that includes its own syncing co...

Re: Best/Most Currently In Use High Quality Format

There are several apps available for iPhone/iPod that play FLAC. I use Onkyo's player; it downloads music files from icloud or the Adobe cloud or can be synced using iTunes file transfer. It also allows the user much better control over equalisation than Apple's Music player. There are several other...

Re: How to copy music from MediaMonkey to external hard drive

Pardon me if I have misread you. Your music isn't actually "in" Media Monkey; MM just creates a database that references your music including tags that are in your music files and adds its own information (if it fits the MP3ID framework, this will be written to the file, otherwise it will just be in...

Re: Where is the Node Tree View in MM5???

Just what we need. Something that will make MM5 even more bloated. What is wrong with this being an add-on? Clearly from the comments, there are users who will never miss the nodes so it is not a core function. And for that matter why is the whole Google Play thing an add-on? It seems to be taking a...

Re: Where is the Node Tree View in MM5???

I also have a large library and have used MM4 and MM5 (when it doesn't crash) for at least 5 years and have never once used nodes to select music. The column browser + Show Details or Show Art with Details (MM4) provides what I regard as a much superior approach because I can organize the column bro...

Re: Playing music from hard drive to speakers around the house ?

Not on Alexa, but on Sonos, though you can get a Sonos that incorporates Alexa (but I'd just as soon not have Google people listening in). Thanks all for the help, it's appreciated. I do have Alexa Echo plus speakers, I can play music from the external hard drive through them, by saying 'Alexa play ...

Re: Playing music from hard drive to speakers around the house ?

I have not had any difficulty playing MM4 to multiple Sonos speakers. The biggest issue is that you do not have good remote control through MM4 (MonkeyMote has been inconsistent for me). The Sonos app on iDevices and Android does have remote capabilities, but the Sonos library does have a finite (th...

Re: only plays on sonos

If you right click on the player bar (I think it is normally at the bottom of the window) a menu should come up. Click on Choose Player and one of the Options should be Internal Player That's what you want.

Re: how do i import playlists from wm to media monkey

1. Export the playlist from wmp to a folder as a 3mu file (I do not know how to do this from wmp, but presumably wmp has a way to do this) 2. Add/rescan files (under File menu) from the folder in step 1 3. MM will report that no files have been added (this is incorrect) 4. Look under Playlists > Imp...

Re: how to save my playlist?

Sorry, it is true as lowlander says that MM saves a playlist as you create it. Perhaps you should post screenshots of what you are doing or the steps you are taking to create one if you think they are not being saved. But maybe you want to review this first: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.ph...

Re: Retirement of Itunes on Apple devices

All MM requires is the drivers; IF iTunes were to disappear no one is going to come and snatch those from your hard drive. MM will continue to work just fine.

Audio Chromecast - again

I know this subject has been covered before, but I cannot find the posts. MM5 is touted as being able to play to Chromecasts. If all that is meant by that is the video Chromecasts, then all is well. But if it is to include audio Chromecasts, then things aren't working for me. I have two video and th...

Re: Ripping Multi-CD albums

As lowlander says, it is really simple. Just highlight all the tracks on the disk being ripped, right-click and choose properties and fill in the disk number in the Disc # field. No special program needed for that, but any ripping program will allow the user to specify disc number; Exact Audio Copy ...

Re: Can't find CD in freedb

Hi, This is the first time ever that MM couldn't find an entry for a CD in freedb, and I have ripped more than 500 discs. This CD came out Aug 30, 2019. Is this unusual? Would I expect it to be added at some point? Is there a way that I can add it? Gregg Allman - Laid Back - 2 CD remastered. Thanks...
