Re: Problems remaining with IOS 5 devices
[quote="nohitter151"]Which iPod touch? There aren't any known issues like in 1 & 2 that I'm aware, so you'll need to provide some more details. Regarding 3, this has never been supported in MM. And regarding 4, that means you have some items checked under the auto-sync list tab.[ I have reported 1 ...

Problems remaining with IOS 5 devices
Rusty's message on MM 4.0.6 [1499] (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54426&start=135#p341507) implies some kind of closure. But there are many remaining problems that [1499], which I have downloaded and installed and am now running, does not solve. 1. MM still does not handle ...

Re: Large "Other" files
What I have found with the colour bar is that it doesn't update when tracks are being added to a device (as in using Send to... or simply highlighting and dragging) and when a device is being re-scanned all the tracks added since the last scan show up as Other until they have been scanned. MM does ...

Re: album folder under artist name
Tools -> Rip Audio CD -> Configure To get what you want under Main Directory enter E:\ under subdirectory enter <Artist>\<Album> and just to be clear I mean enter exactly <Artist> and <Album> not something like <Pink Floyd> or <Dark Side of the Moon>, though you can do that if you want to change how ...

Re: MM 4.0.5.1487 and iphone 4s with IOS 5.1 [#9318]
My experience was that connecting my iPod touch (IOS 5.1.1) to iTunes after adding albums in MM resulted in all the artwork going missing. Working great so far. Only issue was after upgrading iTunes to the latest and iPhone to the latest and MM to the latest after first sync album artwork could not ...

Re: Collection based on location?
You can create collections based on Genre, which may serve your purpose as well as location. Manage collections is under File. This will display the media tree for you to edit; you may have to scroll down to find the Add new collection. You can re-define existing collections by double clicking on ...

Re: Using iPad 2 as remote for MM
The Remote you want is simply the Apple remote; the same one that is used for iTunes. I think it comes installed on lots of iDevices. I use an iPod touch, but I am sure things work just the same on an iPad. Does MonkeyTunes appear in the MM tree? (If, not it isn't installed properly.) When you have ...

Re: Using iPad 2 as remote for MM
Thanks for the reply. For whatever reason i can't download the monkey tunes app onto my iPad. I go to the ipad app store and there is no such app. I went to the monkey tunes site and tried to download the app but I just got a message that safari could not download the file. Kinda stuck. Monkeytunes ...

Re: PLaylist bugs - [1491]
I cannot replicate this. Could you find some consistent steps to reproduce? I have tried this: 1. Right-clicked playlist called "Sync" and selected "Send to->iPod Touch " 2. Verified that after the sync the playlist is there 3. Modified the playlist in the device 4. Again right-clicked playlist ...

Re: PLaylist bugs - [1491]
Additional: Because I have auto-sync turned off (I really don't like letting programs alter what's on my iPod without my knowing what it is doing - didn't let iTunes do it, either), I thought maybe just the initial scanning wasn't enough so I did a sync, with these results: MM created a second Jazz ...

PLaylist bugs - [1491]
I am still having many bugs with MM and playlists on my 4th generation iPod touch (IOS 5.1.1). There are 4 playlists on my iPod. When I just connected MM scanned and now has the following: 4 copies of Jazz 1000. All are identical, but each has only 78 tracks listed; Jazz 1000 actually has 552 tracks ...

Re: How To Stop MM From Editing Case of Genre Field??
Apologies to those you don't use OCD (Orange CD). You can change the case for categories easily in OCD and probably should, as all the other fields (genre, for example) consistently have upper case initial letters. I have never understood why category was the sole exception to initial upper case ...

Re: [1488] and playlists - older iPod & iPod touch
Having done that and changed to [1489], I am pleased to report that all now seems well (with exceptions below). MM does not duplicate existing playlists, reads all existing playlists, syncs all the tracks on a single album - all problems I was having. And it does it with IOS 5.1.1 which Apple ...

[1488] and playlists - older iPod & iPod touch
I can appreciate that the folks here are working to get the syncing problem with 5.1 under control, but there are problems with [1488] and playlists, too. I have an old standard iPod (3rd generation). Whenever I connect it to MM, MM makes a copy of each playlist and adds that copy to the iPod. So ...

Re: [1486] ios5 sync still fails, iphone 4s disappears [#931
Did you remove all files within MediaMonkey from device and then sync a single track using iTunes. This may be required to get proper syncing (to get rid of problems caused by earlier beta's). Yes, I did. In fact I deleted everything and then synced a number of tracks from iTunes. But iTunes wouldn ...
