Re: QuickTime insecure, MediaMonkey needs a free m4a decoder

MiPi wrote:First version of free ALAC decoder/encoder (f_alac_encdec.dll) is included in the latest beta build (1788).
Currently it supports 16bit ALACs, working on full support.
Good to know work is progressing so quickly! :D

Re: QuickTime insecure, MediaMonkey needs a free m4a decoder

Is there any way to subscribe to that without manually checking back every now and then? Can't figure out the RSS feed and there's no place to register? Is Mantis only for developers? It is only for developers and support. But I'll write to this forum topic just after the issue is fixed, you can su...

Re: QuickTime insecure, MediaMonkey needs a free m4a decoder

MM4 uses Windows AAC decoder for decoding AAC-LC (in Win7 and later), QuickTime for decoding M4P (encrypted M4A), and QuickTime or f_aac_codec (part of MM codec pack) for decoding AAC-LC and ALAC. Could you please confirm, that M4A files, you cannot play without QuickTime in Windows 7 and later, ar...

Same here, Windows 10, MediaMonkey Gold updated to the latest version still required QuickTime.

Re: mediamonkey.m3u8 file not updating correctly

Yeah, it's happening consistently now, exact same Now Playing every time I open it no matter how many songs I play and Auto-DJ removes. I wonder if running MM as Administrator all the time would help? It occasionally does ask me for elevated privileges (something about COM appears in the prompt) so ...

Re: mediamonkey.m3u8 file not updating correctly

...deleting the "mediamonkey.m3u8" file found in C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey to try and reset it. That works, but then the issue just resurfaces later... Ay pattern to these recurrences? Are you generating long lists? Holy, I have no idea how I missed your reply for so long, sorry a...

Re: mediamonkey.m3u8 file not updating correctly

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

Yes, I manually close my programs usually before shutdown. I often close and reopen MediaMonkey multiple times throughout the day.

Version is in the OP, at the top.

Re: mediamonkey.m3u8 file not updating correctly

I do not. I use Firefox as my default browser, and have done so for months. I'm not even sure what that has to do with MediaMonkey not updating a specific file...?

mediamonkey.m3u8 file not updating correctly

Windows 10 Home Edition 64-bit, MediaMonkey version 4.1.9.1764 Oftentimes when I open up MediaMonkey for the first time that day/that session (I turn off my computer every night and sometimes multiple times throughout the day), the Now Playing section will have the exact same songs as it did last st...

Re: Chromecast Support?

I for one welcome the addition of Chromecast streaming. I have my entire music library synced via OneDrive to my laptop, and until Microsoft Groove gains Chromecast support, MediaMonkey is my best bet (and will always remain my preferred music player).

Re: Windows 10 MM Won't Minimize

Thank you! I get the exact same thing - if you click on the precise set of pixels that make up that down arrow, you can activate that menu, but otherwise it minimises it. It's too difficult to consistently hit the button I want, so I'll just stick with the toolbar buttons. ^_^

Re: Windows 10 MM Won't Minimize

I'm having the opposite problem: I can't access the mini-player because the minimize button is in front of it. Also on Windows 10, by the way. 64-bit Home version if it matters.
