Re: Search for a list of songs vs. finding them one-by-one ?

I want to do this same thing and I think this script can be used. I'm about to try it. It's the closest thing I've found anyway.

Re: Compatibility with Nvidia Shield TV

+1 to this. And, yes, this is really about input methods for all Android devices. It would be good to have MMA controllable via "game controllers".

This looks very interesting. Will you be posting the v5 code soon?

Re: ios 8 sync

I have installed iTunes 11.4 and MM beta build 1717 (as portable). I can't synch anything... MM acts like it's synching, but then nothing appears in phone music library (iPhone 5s on iOS 8.0 using Win 8.1 Pro). Do I need to actually perform a synch in iTunes 11.4 before this will work?

Re: disc burning wizard: action: erase (quick) and burn

I second this. It's ridiculous that MM4 tells me that there is not enough room on the disc for my selected tracks (and do I want to span across multiple discs). It should give me the option right then of doing a quick erase and then burn. 9 times out of 10, the use case is that the user wants to era...

Re: [13xx] MM4 performance with large library sucks

That's a good tip, felix. I will do that. I think I may have found the problem for me. I am using an ancient add-on script called WebSearch.vbs. I had a bunch of sites in the XML that I never use... and I'm thinking the script was trying to load every web page in the background whenever I started or...

Re: [13xx] MM4 performance with large library sucks

It's not a NAS, just a straight-up WinXP Pro machine. Nothing gets locked up on it. As soon as I start MM4 on the Core i7 Win7 machine, CPU usage and memory usage steadily climb until it crashes.

Re: [13xx] MM4 performance with large library sucks

MM4 is basically unusable for me! It's awful. I have two scenarios with two different major issues: 1) 800MB library that is local with all files on a server and referenced with UNC path names: The local machine is a Core i7 monster with 8GB RAM and Win7 Ultimate. Results: One to three songs will pl...

Re: 1375: Gold MM says "standard" when increasing # of cores

nohitter151 is exactly right. Those are the steps. You can change step 3 to read "3. After MM starts, try to access Options > Auto-Organize." and you'll get the same problem. You can also change step 3 to read "3. After MM starts, try to access Options > Media Sharing > Add > Auto-Conversion." and y...

Re: 1375: MM appearance almost unusable over Remote Desktop

nduke: I also tried turning skins off (telling MM to just use the Windows theme) and this gave me the most functional, as well as pleasing, look with only the ratings still having a black background behind the stars (but in a different way... 4.5 stars is now clearly 4.5 stars and cannot be confused...

Re: 1375: MM appearance almost unusable over Remote Desktop

Oh... I tried changing skins first. The problem is there with the Vitreous and Gilded skins. The mucky screens problem goes away when using the Pulse skin (which I don't like... oh well). The ratings still look strange. I have MM set to be fully skinnable. And, again, worth noting that even when swi...

Re: 1375: MM appearance almost unusable over Remote Desktop

Thanks for those ideas. On the Experience tab on the Win 7 client, I have the connection speed set to WAN and all seven checkboxes are checked. I'm not sure what some of those do, so I will try playing with those settings. Do you have any suggestions for those? As for connecting the other way around...

UPDATE: This problem only occurred during the FIRST ever session of opening a new install of MM and registering in the wizard. Once MM was closed and restarted, this problem went away.

1375: Media Sharing/Auto-Conversion complains I'm not Gold

Build 1375 on Windows XP SP3, Pentium D (dual core circa 2005). Beta is registered as Gold. MM is correctly reporting in the Help --> About screen that I have registered build 1375 as lifetime Gold. However, in Tools --> Options... --> Media Sharing --> Add, when I click on the Auto-Conversion tab, ...
