Re: Backup 5.8 - Updated 27/10/2010

I double checked and MM4 is using: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini (and creates a mmbackup section each time I reinstall) I uninstalled Backup 5.8 and removed the mmbackup section from mediamonkey.ini. I reinstalled and chose "all users" th...

Re: Backup 5.8 - Updated 27/10/2010

I'm using MM version 4.0.2.1462 with WinXPSP3. In MM4, the default location of mediamonkey.ini (for WinXP) is: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini I've uninstalled Backup 5.8, removed it from Mediamonkey.ini and reinstalled. Backup 5.8 shows the "se...

MM4 4.0.2.1462 - 2 files to be tagged

I made a change (such as adding album art or analyzing volume) on a set of tracks that requires MM4 to update the tags. Even after MM4 does the tag updates successfully, it still shows there are "2 files to be tagged". This behavior was present in previous versions of MM4 as well. http://i...

Re: How do you manually upgrade MM3 database to MM4?

I did the same thing to fix mine. 1. Uninstalled MM4 2. Reinstalled MM3 3. Edited MediaMonkey.ini and changed database location back to default location: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MM.DB (For WinXP) 4. Copied MM.db to default location of C:\Docum...

Re: How do you manually upgrade MM3 database to MM4?

I'm working with WinXP SP3 and I'm a member of the administrators group. I tried your suggestion and copied MM.db (about 13MB in size)to C:\Documents and Settings\ksteele\My Documents I then ran C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey dbupgrade C:\Documents and Settings\ksteele\My Documents\MM.db C:\Documents ...

How do you manually upgrade MM3 database to MM4?

I upgraded MM3 to MM4 and none of my playlists or music appear in MM4. After reading a few posts, I realized this was because I chose to store my MM3 database in a non-default location. I attempted to manually upgrade my database by temporarily copying it (MM.db) to C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey and ...

Re: MM4 - still no support for lossless M4A encoding?

Yes, what nohitter151 said. I actually have all my music in FLAC. Problem is, a stupid iPod is the only music device that my car supports. By support, I mean I can skip tracks using my steering wheel controls and the artist and title appear on the display of the factory radio. I refuse to listen to ...

Re: Converting TO ALAC

Thanks for the new hope. I would really like to ditch DBPowerAmp and be able to use MM4 for everything.

MM4 - still no support for lossless M4A encoding?

Could you please add support for lossless M4A (ALAC) to MM4? Currently, 210 kbps VBR is the highest bitrate MM4 offers in the M4A format.

This will allow me to encode my music in an uncompressed format for use on the iPod and get rid of DBPowerAmp which I currently use for this functionality.

Re: Converting TO ALAC

Any updates on this issue? I realize MM4 supports AAC encoding, but there is still no support for Apple Lossless.

Feature Request - M4A - support for lossless ALAC

I use the Virtual CD feature in MM to rip all my CD's to FLAC format. My car supports iPod connectivity and displays Album, Artist and Track info on the factory radio. To maximize the quality, I convert my FLAC files to M4A ALAC (Apple Lossless) before synchronizing them to my iPod. Unfortunately, I...

Can I have EQ settings applied to CD's I burn?

I have a CD that I ripped to a Virtual CD using the FLAC format. In the original recording, the bass is too heavy. I would like to burn a new CD from the FLAC files and apply an EQ setting to reduce the bass. Is this possible? Unless I'm doing something wrong, adjustments made to the default EQ in M...

Re: DLNA

I agree, I'd like to see DLNA support in Monkey. I'm currently having to use DBPower Amp's Asset program to steam my FLAC files to my XBox and their batch converter to encode FLAC to ALAC for lossless use on an iPod.
