I have gone to iTunes from MM because of the playcount syncing problem with my iphone, and at work we have now started to use Genius on iTunes regularly.

I can now use both programs and keep play history counts.

I have not been active on this forum for a while, mainly because I had to start using :evil: iTunes :evil: in order to maintain auto playlists & update playcounts. With the release of 3.2 is Media monkey now finally able to sync back playcounts and play history from the iphone and update the main MM ...

Same issue with me, I have just had to re-install my OS, backed up data including MM.DB re-installed latest release from web site forgetting I had installed latest Beta

Twice now with the iPod filled from iTunes, I have played multiple albums and playlists, resynced and playcount has been updated.

OK ipod now filled (around 500MB free)

play album, reconnect, resync, no play count change at all.

Repeat above, different album, same issue.

Please can the devs look into this? It is an issue MM is having. I have done the same with itunes and filled the device, and it always modifies play counts.

Clean ipod touch, 1 mp3 album, no play count syncing!!! Getting peeved now!! I am going to have to just bite the bullet and pray everytime I sync some play count info gets copied over to MM. I put ~5GB of music onto my touch through itunes, played music all afternoon and re-synced when I got home. Playcount transferred perfectly. it has to be an issue with MM I am sure of it. I am no software developer/tester, how can I come up with a simple repeatable test case? I want this fixed and would like to help the best I can but I do not haver the greatest amount of time in the world.

Looks like it works perfectly with itunes. I will test further but so far repeating my above tests (Without factory restore & Without flac) playcount & skip count work perfectly.

Am about to put 5GB on the ipod and leave it playing, will check back later.

Tried again with single MP3 album, and now no play count is going back to media Monkey!!! very frustrating....

I am going to try this with just iTunes and see what happens. I am at this stage in some doubt as to the culprit, itunes or MM

OK I factory restored my iPod Touch...........Some 3 + hours later it had finished. OK Connected iPod, iTunes automatically loaded, left iTunes alone i.e clicked nothing on the iTunes screen so no user settings were put back on at this stage. (iTunes recognised the ipod as mine and wanted to restore ...

I am intrigued, I have many .flac albums and wondered on Monday if the flac files was the cause of the problem.

I will do a retest also I think and limit myself to pure mp3 albums and report back what I find.

Now to wipe clean my iPod again!!

Yes I was wondering though if the new iphone OS 3.0 is going to fix the issue?

Or more to the point if anyone has any clue or idea that it may fix the issue....

Wish I knew this before I bouth the ipod touch though!! Only bought it yesterday!!
