Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

on the desktop, I changed the.ini for SQLLite to 1 and then ran, not even as an administrator, the "non-skinned" exe and it works now.
Only problem is I now have a naked monkey.

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Ahh, success, on my win7 64 bit laptop. I don't know what did it really. I changed the database ownership to me. The db was in c:\MMonkey. I also added this line to the system ini section - SQLiteSafety=1 And I ran the non-skinned version of MM, as an administrator. but it didn't crash. Now I'll see...

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

I did, but will try that again as your instructions are more explicit than the posted thread. Thanks so much for your help.

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Thanks Peke, I got the startup program you recommended. It is much simpler than autoruns, I like it thanks. But it show no sign of any known problem. Nothing in thee services either. Still crashing on all three of my PC's. But if I start a fresh profile, MM works fine. So something I've loaded in th...

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

A ray of hope - maybe. I set up a new profile on my machine, win 7 sys, and Media Monkey ran fine from there... so what does that tell me? Hmm

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Yes I did try that, though I might again, but I never use the "non-stop" monitoring by Acronis, don't even think it's an option in my "home" version. I'm going open up the ole autoruns though and see if I can nix this context menu stuff and see what happens.

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Yea, I don't see the crash either, but I can assure it's happening. Your hunch on Acronis may be right, I noticed in the debuger log that whenever I open my Windows Explorer replacement (Directory Opus) that Acronis is showing up in the context menu. Though it must be hidden as I don't see it in any...

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Ok, thank you... I left in a few lines of that invalid parameter in case it may be relevant. It's from Firefox, not sure why I'm getting the error yet, but hears the rest of the code. 00011536 1301.78295898 [12180] Invalid parameter passed to C runtime function. 00011537 1301.78295898 [12180] Invali...

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Thanks nohitter151 for working with me. I've gotten the debug log. Should I post it? It's not too illuminating to me, but that doesn't mean much. Here are the last 4 lines: PlaylistSongs.IDSong IN (SELECT ID FROM Songs ORDER BY LastTimePlayed DESC LIMIT 200) GROUP BY PlaylistSongs.IDPlaylist) LIMIT ...

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Ok, I went in and disabled, *(quarantined) the two Acronis Processes, though they were not running. I also stopped a few SQL items like SQL express, SQL server browser, SQL server active directory Helper - don’t know what they are really, might be there with Visual Studio 8 and 10. I scrutinized all...

Re: I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

No I can try that, well what would that mean exactly?
No processes are running. Should I un-install?

I know, I know, but still "Audio library has stopped..."

Man, I've read every thread on this I think, and done it all. I've got today's version, before that I had the debug version of it, and it's still crashing. I've done the clean install, and moved the *.db and moved the iPone.dll, and I'm still crashing. I do have Acronis but not the know bug I don't ...

Re: MonkeyToys

Please excuse my dumb ass, but I've looked all over the place and can't figure out how to install this great sounding extension? Do I need to compile it somehow, or am I having problems because I'm running Vista 64? Also can anyone tell me how to check which version of net frame I'm running?
thank you

thanks

Thank you rovingcowboy,

A very lucky find indeed, as I had gone through my add/remove apps application and couldn't find the lyric program. And overlooked the dll when going through the monkey files.

Thanks, I'll take your suggestion on looking for a good lyric finder.

fixed !!

While looking for my relevant *.ini and log files, I found a dll that I had recently loaded, a lyric app, called gen_lyrics? It says it's mainly for winamp, but my understanding is we can use those winamp plugins as well. When I deleted that dll, the monkey came bouncing back into my waiting arms.
