Net radio station configuration

Can someone help me with getting my local station to play (WRR FM, Dallas)? In "high quality mode", the station requires Abacast client. This has been installed and excluded from Windows firewall protection and my virus checker protection. When I enter the following (used by my browser) into MM->Fil...

Re: need a software - music and video organization

J. River (http://www.jrmediacenter.com/) does what you want but I found it difficult to use and not stable in my system.

Mediamonkey is very stable and seems to be able to do all things audio with aplomb.

I am not totally clear how the search function works. For example, when searching for Zu Zu Mamou, in the any text field I entered the following: zu zu I do not have the song but search returned Many German titles (which have zu in them - but not zu zu) Shaka Zulu Zulu War Chant Many others but all ...

Re: [Media]:\ instead of M:\ - you guys are making be nervous.

As a general matter Monkey doesn't work in a stable fashion with mapped drive letters, a lot can go wrong. I now have 30 K songs, on 3 NAS drives, mapped. So far I have had zero issues, no loss of data, no inability to find or play a song, etc. I have been using this system for 6 months without hic...

Re: Sharing the MM database between instances

And as a followup to this question. I am streaming MediaMonkey to 3 Airport Expresses(AE). I can send the same music to multiple AE devices (almost simultaneously). But it might be nice to have MediaMonkey opened on the same machine - several instances - to send different music to different AE's - i...

Re: How can I submit a CD to FreeDB

Use EAC to rip (probably the best software to rip with, anyway)

It has a "submit to freedb button"

Batch rename

In the Tools->options->Confirmation Menu is an option "Confirm rename operations that exceed 64 CD character limit"

Does this imply there is rename function?

If there is not a function per se, is there a workaround that would let one do batch renames?

Thanks

Tagging and database issues information

I would like to understand more re: the tagging process and where information is stored in MM. At least for FLAC Is all of the info re: a song (Title, Artist, Lyrics, Art Work, etc, etc) stored "in" the FLAC File. Wikipedia talks about a "wrapper". Is this a data structure that encases/unites the ac...

Import Vinyl Data (but not the music)

I have lots of Vinyl. The records have been catalouged in Catraxx. The data is exportable in various formats. Is it possible to import the Vinyl data (album title, artist, other meta data) from Catraxx (or elsewhere)? Please note I have not "ripped" the vinyl and thus there are no music data files. ...

Did you create a backup database before the meltdown? That has all of the info you are trying to retrieve I believe.
