You may be running into the problem I had where it LOOKS like the tags are updated sometimes when you use the My Computer node. Have you checked the tags with some other program to makes sure that the tags have actually been updated?

Glad you like it!

P.S. As you can see in the script, I was able to work around not knowing how to format the track number with a leading zero. Just curious about it for future reference.

New script: Change track# format to <disc#><trk#

I really dislike albums tagged like "Yessongs (disc 1)" and "Yessongs (disc 2)." It's really all one album! Using that scheme, the tracks are usually labeled 1-n within each disc. I prefer having one album entry per album and giving each track a unique number. 1-n would be fine, but an alternative t...

MM reads bad CD-R forever

I have a CD-R that has a few bad tracks on it. Windows Explorer tries to read them but times out after a while. When I try to add them into the library (with MD5 info gathering turned on), MM tries to read them forever. Clicking on "cancel" in the status bar doesn't do anything. I couldn't even clos...

Function to format a number with leading zero(s)

I can't find the equivalent of the Visual Basic's Format function in VB Script. What I want is a function that will return TrackOrder with a leading zero, if needed.

I am sure that this is very easy, but I can't find it! Any help appreciated.

Thanks for explaining the intended operation, Rusty. Makes sense to me!

Now that I know about the small peculiarity that I found, I simply don't do the thing that causes it! Not a big deal, but I thought you guys would want to know.

I go through the same thing with a different filter. I don't think we can call it a bug, but I do think that it is a great suggestion. :D

This seems similar to a problem that I reported in this note: http://www.songs-db.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1242

I still haven't been able to get the MAD plugin to work for me, so I don't know if that would solve my problem or not.

If this is happening to you in the My Computer node, I have noted the same thing in this post: http://www.songs-db.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1269 . I see it in the current production version. (Haven't tried the Alpha yet.)

I notice that some of the issues brought up in this topic have been spun off into their own topics. THANK YOU! Is there any way that the mods could lock down this topic so that no one else can reply to it? Reading one big topic with all issues is too unwieldy. Thanks!

You can try Psychic MP3:

I've had good luck with it. Others here haven't. It's freeware, so it can't hurt to give it a try!

In the meantime, stuff like that is pretty easy to do directly in the Access database if you know Access (or other database query languages).

I thought you might say something like that. Unfortunately, there are NO option buttons in front of my input plug-in choices! (There are for some of the other plug-in types.) Any idea where they might be hiding? ;-)

How select input plug-in?

OK, I feel stupid asking this, because it seems like it should be obvious, but I can't figure out how to select which plug-in to use to play mp3s. I've looked at help, the readme.txt file, and this forum, but they all say "select the plug-in and press configure." I've done that, but how do I tell MM...

That looks good. For those people who don't want to do any coding in Access, you could probably create a query in Design view and base a Report on it to do the same thing and perhaps give you more options in formatting.
