Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Note that you can connect/manage the MMS at the url indicated on its start, which in your case was http://192.168.2.112:10222. You can also see a debug log there, please send it to me then.

Thanks!

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Great, I forgot to write that the initial warnings are ok on an armv7 synology NAS. MMS should work fine then.

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Ok, we've released a new (0.2.2) version, it includes armv7 and armv8 builds that should work on respective Synology NASes. Please check out the downloads at http://forum.mediamonkey.com/viewtopic. ... 93#p456193 and let us know!

Thanks,

Re: MediaMonkey Server pre-release testing

Here's an update (v0.2.2) to MediaMonkey Server that includes few fixes and particularly builds for armv7 and armv8 (they work on Synology NASes or e.g. Raspberry Pi). A list of other changes can be seen at https://github.com/mediamonkeyserver/mms/commits/master . The current implementation is alpha...

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Zonky, have you tried the compiled generic linux64 version from https://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/mms/MMS-linux64-0.2.1.rar ? We haven't tested with an Intel Synology NAS, but I guess that this might work. Pluti, have you tried the compiled generic armv7 linux version from https://www.mediamonkey.com...

Re: How Do You Remove Disc Number?

The idea was that people usually use Disc# only to distinguish multi-disc albums and leave it empty otherwise -- which obviously isn't what everybody does. As I'm not a fan of too many configuration options, I'm not sure what's the best resolution of this. Some people will like to show disc# there, ...

Re: Cannot install NOR build on an Raspberry pi 2

Hi Laurent, I tried to install MMS from sources on my Raspberry and it worked fine. To clarify, I just downloaded the latest sources from github and run 'npm install', which takes quite a long time, but finishes eventually. I suppose that in your case, you might be missing some dependency, please ma...

Re: Cannot install NOR build on an Raspberry pi 2

Hi Laurent,

we definitely do want to support Raspberry. I actually got MMS working there some time ago, but there were some changes since that probably introduced the issue you observe. I'll look into it and let you know then.

Re: Reduce SPAM-Mails?

Yes, our automated spam prevention tools work only on a part of the incoming spam, unfortunately quite a bit gets through and we have to take care of it manually. This is particularly an issue over weekend. We keep trying to find a better way to fight it...

Re: Sync two Windows computers

Yes, this is currently being implemented through MediaMonkey Server. It's a bit rought, as MM5 and MMS are yet the alpha stage, but generally speaking usable.

Re: 2130 observations

I think that we did it this way because Summary is configurable per item type (Music, Video, ...), so its shown together with other fields that are configured this way. That said, you are right that it doesn't make much sense, some clean up of Options is needed.

Re: mmw5 to mms5 - how to migrate library ?

MMS provides the UPnP interface particularly to be available to various platforms. That said, there are more MM(5) only functions available, so that we can achieve the ultimate goal - that MMS tracks can be managed as local tracks, i.e. they can be tagged by MM5, etc. There might be some features mi...

Re: Value of ID3v2 POPM field and MM's Rating

i am just curious as to how the POPM values were "picked" ...meaning why is 13 a half star, or 242 4.5 stars? I'd say that they weren't really 'picked', but rather they happen to be mapped this way because of the way several intervals of the 0-100 range are mapped to intervals in the 0-255 range (p...

Re: Value of ID3v2 POPM field and MM's Rating

This is the current write algorithm: if value<=0 then mp3value := 0 else if value<=25 then begin if value = 20 then mp3value := 1 // Special value, so that 1 star is written as POPM=1 (to be compatible with many other apps, like WMP, WinAmp, etc.) else mp3value := value + 3; end else if value<=45 th...

Re: When will you port to Linux?

Btw, the alpha version of MMS (MediaMonkey Server) is already available for Linux (open-sourced, anyone can contribute). As for a frontend, we'll focus on it right after MM 5.0 release.
