Re: Magic Nodes under Vista

In My Computer, go to Tools | View and then uncheck the option "Hide Extensions For Know Files Types". Now you'll be able to see .zip at the end of what you downloaded. Now right click on it, go to rename, and replace the .zip with .mmip: then click Ok on the warning box that may show. Now simply do...

Re: Scrolling Text on MP3 Tag

Sometimes (some older car stereo's do) use the filename rather than the mp3 tag. Use auto-organise files (right click on a selection of tracks) to change the filename and see if this works.

Re: Ripping audio CDs at VBR shows lower bitrate when finished

I'm always fascinated to watch how the lame encoder works whilst using it with EAC, when it appears in the command prompt.

Aaaanyway yeah, djcmilan, that is normal behavior.

I have tried, but I cannot reproduce the problem. I will keep trying, though.

Re: Random greyed out tracks

This problem has reappeared this evening. Nothing appears in the dead links node, or after locating missing tracks. Some tracks simply cannot be accessed first time around.

As I can't find a pattern/trigger for this, is it considered a bug?

Re: Editing skin text colors

You open the msz file in winzip, then extract the mskn file you want to edit, before opening that mskn file in Theme Editor.

Re: Editing skin text colors

msz files open in winzip, just tell windows that's the program you want to use to open.

Re: LAME into MM help

Just copy the lame.exe into your mediamonkey folder (Normally C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey) where it should copy over the old one. I think MM uses LAME 3.97 by default.

My bad.

Re: Expanded Now Playing Info

Also, DreadM's Eclipse small-player can be expanded vertically to show much more metadata; depending on how much space you need.

Re: Random greyed out tracks

No, I have no custom plug-ins installed. I will test my loose sata cable theory upon next shutdown; then will create a debug log if the problem persists.

Thanks,

Re: Played count to adjust % of song played

I've found that as long as you let the progress bar pass the 50% mark (even clicking the bar on 49% works) and then let it finish naturally (although then again skipping 'till a few seconds before the end) the playcount should increase.

Random greyed out tracks

Hey everyone, This is not necessarily an MM problem, but: Sometimes (about 3-4 times a day) when a random track tries to play it becomes greyed out and MM moves on to the next one. The track(s) in question have definitely not been moved, and locate missing tracks does not come up with anything, but ...
