Now Playing Window Resizes on Shutdown

I arrange my MM interface as shown in the first pic below. Beginning when I installed 3.1 over 3.04 the Now Playing window began to re-size itself on each shutdown/startup, so I have to drag the header up to the desired position after each startup. Pic one below shows the desired layout, pic 2 the n...

Re: Different column arrangement for different views?

I support this. As the original poster suggested, I would like to have Title first when looking at titles, Artist first when using the artist view, etc.

Re: Font sizes on main screen vs. drop-down menus

I'm no MM expert so there is probably something here I don't understand, but I don't see why skin developers should have to think about adjusting skins. It appears the difference in size between the list and button/menu fonts arrived with MM 3.1, so shouldn't the developers fix* it for everyone? It ...

Re: Font sizes on main screen vs. drop-down menus

Seems to be a restatement of this problem: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=40618 I've experimented a lot with different settings. The % and the PX font size settings affect both the lists and the buttons/menus. Unfortunately the list font is always bigger than the button/menu fo...

Optimizing the Database

File> Maintain Library>Optimize Database sounds like a good thing, but "optimize database" gets no hits in the Help file or Wiki. Maybe I'm just being dumb, but what is it?

Re: HUGE Font In The New MediaMonkey

I'm new to this thread; I sought it out because I have the same problem. I installed 3.1 over my previous version (3.0.4 I think) and the text in the lists became much larger - on all skins. I changed the font size via the skins window and thought nothing was happening -- it turned out I was making ...

Re: Wrongly adding same album art to every track

Probably nobody is as stupid as I am, but I had this problem when I downloaded an album cover from the net and didn't notice that the file was titled "folder.jpg" Each file I added later got that album art.

I've collected a lot more than I originally intended! MM makes it so easy to store and access that there's no reason to resist.

Re: tidying up my mp3s

You may want to look at this thread: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=39276 The Clear Field script works on some items; you can find a list in the links given. It works great on Comments, but is no help with track number. I didn't find a golden method, still had to do a lot of ma...

How to Uninstall Plugins

Maybe I'm too dense to formulate the query properly, but I've searched Help, Wiki, FAQ, etc. with no luck. How do I uninstall plugins? I want to uninstall DeFX and Enhancer. The Options>DSP Plug-ins window does not provide for uninstalling and they are not listed in the Extensions window which does ...

Re: Script for Deleting Unused Data?

Did that. I like a simple interface (I'm a little old and hard-of-seeing), but also I like a lean and tidy computer so I eliminate bytes when I can. What I really need is a simple way to empty selected fields when I add a song to the library, like the way volume is automatically analyzed, or the (ma...
