Upgrade price?

I have MM Gold v. 3.2.5.1306 and would like to know the price to upgrade to 4x Gold. The "upgrade FAQ" describes how to upgrade from earlier versions of MediaMonkey, but it doesn't say anything about price. Nor does the Download page give upgrade prices. So how do I find out what this'd set me back?

Re: Ipod Classic & MM3 without iTunes

Thanks, nohitter151 and rrfpacker -- I look forward to giving it a shot. If I could ask a follow-up -- upon further thought, I’m thinking I might still want to install iTunes for retrieving podcasts and videos. (I’m replacing a Creative Zen Vision:M, which had its own utility for this purpose.) The ...

Ipod Classic & MM3 without iTunes

I'm thinking of getting a new iPod Classic, and I do not want to install iTunes. My preference would be to use Windows (7) Explorer to transfer music files, but I gather that's not possible. But I do have MM3 Gold, which I read here should handle the manual syncing I want to do. However, the instruc...

Re: Playlist portability wish

I think the point is that you can just use the addon previously mentioned to export playlists with relative paths, then it should work on several pcs. I’ve already addressed that add-on's inscrutability to non-geeks. I'm at least a bit of a geek, and it's over my head. What is needed is a solution ...

Re: Playlist portability wish

I would have thought that this could have been solved by using relative file paths. Please give a few examples. I’m sorry; I don’t understand what you mean, but I’ll give an example. I exported the playlists from MM on my old PC. Here’s an entry from one: F:\My Music\Transferred\Foo Fighters C\Foo ...

Re: Playlist portability wish

Have you looked at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=34512&hilit=Export+M3Us%2FPlaylists+for+Child+Nodes I haven’t seen this add-in, though I did a search before posting. I don’t even understand much of it, to be honest -- it looks even more complicated than using search & repla...

Playlist portability wish

I just bought a new PC and transferred my music library to it. I exported my MM playlists, but they're broken on the new PC, because the new file paths aren't exactly the same. I know I could do a manual search-and-replace workaround to fix it, but for the less technically-inclined, I'd like to sugg...

Re: Moving tracks quirk

Just as an update, the next time I ran MM the unmoved tracks did indeed show up in the source location. I could have sworn they disappeared right after doing the batch transfer.

Moving tracks quirk

I have a Location node on one drive from which I sometimes move batches of tracks within MM to a Location node on another disk, by dragging them there. If a file already exists at the destination, MM gives me a "file exists - do you want to copy over the original?" message. I always say No -- but af...

Re: Newly added folder not showing up

Yes, now that the folder’s no longer empty, it does show up under Location, track attributes intact. All’s well that ends well!

Re: Newly added folder not showing up

OK, thanks. I’m a little confused. Earlier I had a problem with tracks losing ratings, and was told it’s because I was moving them between their My Computer folders. I was advised to set up monitored Location nodes and do the moving between them so MM could keep proper track of the files and their a...

Re: Newly added folder not showing up

The folder does not have tracks in it yet. I was going to move them there (using MM) from a location on another drive (also monitored) that is my receiving folder for new tracks. My workflow is to first sync that folder with my MP3 player and then move the tracks into my library folders. This has be...

Newly added folder not showing up

I have MM’s File Monitor set to monitor a particular folder and its subfolders on start-up. I added a new subfolder to it, but it’s not showing up in Locations – not at start-up, nor if I select the main folder and Add/Rescan Tracks.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Re: Disappearing ratings

MediaMonkey doesn't auto-update your holding folder unless you tell it to ( File Monitor ) Go to Library > Files to Edit > Dead Links, remove tracks listed. Use File > Add/Rescan Tracks to scan your holding folder. or Setup the File Monitor on the holding folder. Done (both). Cool, that should fix ...

Re: Disappearing ratings

Instead of the My Computer node you can use the Location node instead. Should allow for the same workflow except you're working in the library. You might want to file a debog log as described in the Bug Report so this can be investigated so a cause can be confirmed. Thanks for the suggestion, Lowla...
