Re: Opening MediaMonkey.chm

Thanks nohitter, If the chm is deprecated why is it still included in the MM install? What's the point of that? And, sorry, but the online help is absolutely useless compared to the chm file when it comes to finding the required help. For example last night I wanted to find out what Files To Edit / ...

Re: Album art issues and consequential error messages

Re. 'blank' images appearing in tags, please PM me with a couple of such files--I've never observed this. I think I may know what BJE means because I occasionally have the same sort of problem. I often find tracks that contain albumart that is the same (compact disc and double-quaver) as you would ...

Re: MM4Portable not opening in foreground [#8290]

I installed version 1433 about a couple of weeks ago and out of the blue, for no apparent reason, it has started opening in the foreground as expected.I've just updated to 1436 and still all good. Still no idea as to why or what was causing this but I just hope it's gone for good!! Thanks for all yo...

Opening MediaMonkey.chm

Hi there, I'm using MM4 4136 but I don't in which version it changed. Why doesn't the MediaMonkey.chm file open when going to Help / Help Content? Now it opens the MediaMonkey WebHelp wiki instead. Is there any way to make MM open the chm file instead? Cheers.

Files To Edit / Multiple Artist Albums

Hi there, I am struggling to understand some of the results of my Music library Files To Edit / Multiple Artist Albums node: 1. Albums that don't exist in my library. I have checked the locations and there are no folders of the same name. 2. Empty results - ie: when I click on them, there is nothing...

Re: MM4Portable not opening in foreground [#8290]

On further investigation I'm not sure what is causing this. I have done another clean install and everything was fine until I used the RestorePlayHistory script. Then MM started opening in the background again. Upon doing yet another clean install I used the RestorePlayHistory script and MM continue...

Thank brings up another question. If the bmps are 'required' for AA viewing, why are they stored in a 'temp' folder? It seems there is nothing temporary about them and perhaps they should be stored in a designated folder.

Oops looking the wrong folder!!! The Temp folder still has multiple MMCachexxxxxxxxxx_x folders with duplicates in several folders.

Re: Default opening location/node

Thanks Eyal, I tried StartupNode and it sort of works but the desired node has to be set in the MediaMonkey.ini file. And as soon as MM is closed the MediaMonkey.ini entry is deleted which is a pain if the desired node needs to be changed. It also means the "set last used node" doesn't work, nor doe...

Re: Portable\Temp\MMCachennn_1

It should only be created once per file at scan time. Again, these should only be created once per album. If that's not what's happening, let us know. Sorry rusty but I thought I just did: Most of them aren't even different bmps - just the same ones in every folder. Why do I need 10 copies of the s...

Re: Portable\Temp\MMCachennn_1

I would also like to know why there has to be so many folders getting re-created over and over. Most of them aren't even different bmps - just the same ones in every folder. Why do I need 10 copies of the same bmp? Deleting the folders just causes the bmps to be created all over again so, if these b...

Re: Corrupt database?

Re. problem 1, it sounds like a corrupted db. Were you able to solve it? Yes it was definitely a corrupted db. No I didn't get it fixed - ended up starting over with a new db. Unfortunately it has happened again since but luckily I had a backup of the portable install and went back to that. Still h...

This is the same for me. I have only noticed it in v1426. I'm running windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
