Re: 1459: Artwork change doesn't trigger sync update

Good point NoHitter, hadn't thought about play counts - and it's great that it does only change the tag rather than re-copying/transcoding. I think I'm probably wrong about volume analysis anyway  I also tested changing artwork - I deleted artwork for an album then added it in again - it did r...

Re: 1459: Artwork change doesn't trigger sync update

Hmm, I thought it also didn't work in MM3.2.4 (or .5 I can't remember) > http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=58179 Volume analysis also doesn't seem to enable a resync, which is similarly annoying. I would hope (and would have guessed it would be easiest to program that) any change to ...

Re: Device free space listing is wrong and slow [#8656]

So to summarise, it seems as if: 1. although the indicator bar shows post-sync state, it doesn't account for files to be deleted 2. In my case, the indicator appears to not identify some of the tracks on the device as matching the sync list, but the sync procedure does 3. Deleting the affected track...

Re: Device free space listing is wrong and slow [#8656]

Well, having deleted all the music from the K drive and resynced, the display is looking more sensible (it's no longer claiming there is stuff to sync and the size / free space are more accurate). I had forgotten about some recordings that I hadn't accounted for, but there wasn't 2.4GB worth (just a...

Re: Device free space listing is wrong and slow [#8656]

I'll let you know when I get home. But I guess it must at least be stored somewhere strange, since I have the 'delete files not on sync list' option selected.

Re: Device free space listing is wrong and slow [#8656]

Hi Ludek, thanks. Assuming you're estimating the level of compression, is it possible that the estimate is just a bit out, because I've got quite a lot of FLAC stuff that's being converted to 256kb MP3s. So the difference if there was no estimate between real final state and projected would be huge,...

Re: Device free space listing is wrong and slow [#8656]

Hi Ludek I can confirm that what I am seeing is post-synchronisation. The sync occurs fine and doesn't report lack of space or any other problems. Both of these images are after syncing. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/39561993/SyncK.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/39561993/SyncL.png What I didn't say was that ...

Re: MM4 1455 - Some Initial Issues

Nebbin, do you get the same problem if you use the Windows native multi-monitor support? Have you tried putting the taskbar on the secondary monitor and MM on the primary monitor (don't know if this is possible on XP) to see what happens? Is the multi-monitor tool for the purpose of allowing additio...

Device free space listing is wrong and slow [#8656]

On my RockBoxed Sansa clip+, the bar that shows music/video/other/freeSpace shows free space at 0 and music greater than the capacity of the device. This happens for both the onboard flash and the microSD card. It also takes quite a while (say 20 seconds) to calculate this. I assumed the incorrect r...

Thanks. I do, and they do, but it's a bit odd. And I saw last night that it happens when it hasn't crashed too.

Edit properties - disappears from media tree [#8651]

If I edit the album artist of an album from music>album> album using the edit properties dialogue, the album disappears from the media tree and doesn't reappear until I do something like go to album artist then back to album. If edit the album artist by typing directly into the field in the file lis...

AccurateRip dialogue [#8648]

In the AccurateRip dialogue following a rip, if it fails to verify the dialogue says "this CD doesn't exist in the database or there is a problem with your internet connection". 3 questions: Does AccurateRip give no response if it doesn't have the CD, or would it be possible to have two different me...

Re: MM4 1455 - Some Initial Issues

2. Only if something else (mainly the file monitor) is running
3. No, I don't get this problem (Win7x64).
