Re: MM DB and symbolic links

Thanks Lowlander. I am aware of this information. I guess if I could just change all the files to the same location, that would mean that each MM on each separate computer would be using the same database. I am wondering if using symbolic links might be a better way to achieve this. Hard to say. May...

MM DB and symbolic links

I have been using symbolic links to manage my photos using Picasa across multiple PCs on my home network. All my pictures are located on my NAS unit and the database for Picasa is there as well. All the PCs point to the database on the NAS using symbolic links in the appdata folder that Picasa uses ...

Re: Forum crpas outut quite often

I have discovered that when this happens to me, if I go to the home MM web page and use the forum link there I am able to get right onto the forum page without any issue.

Re: what songs give you the chills?

I really couldn't think of a song that gave me the chills when I saw this thread. Now if you asked about art, hands down it would be Van Gogh. I get big old goosebumps whenever I see his art or even talking about it. But a song just did pop into my head that does do this. I think it is because of th...

Re: Other Sites with Music Ratings?

Considering that MM has its own rating feature, perhaps there should be a cumulative anonymous online database of peoples MM ratings. MMrate so to say.

Re: Experience ripping a large number of CD's for MM?

I believe Peke may be referring to adding a "virtual cd" to MM. This just creates a record of the cd in the database and does not include the rip. I have never used it myself. I guess the one advantage to doing this is that once you get the correct tagging and add them to the virtual cd, you will th...

Re: milkdrop help

I never use the visualizations, or at least I haven't for a very long time. I looked at MilkDrop. The settings for it in the options setting didn't seem to have anything related to this oscillation you speak of. This is an old Winamp plugin. I tried the links in the configuration settings for the pl...

When trying to access https://mediamonkey.com/ I get the following error:
The link will not resolve to MM.com with the https prepended. http://www.mediamonkey.com/ will get you there. Obviously, MM.com does not have https protocol functional.

Re: Another can I .................?

Not being familiar with this equipment, I did go to their webpage to see what it was about. They do have more than one model listed, so which model you have might help with someone trying to answer your question. Also, some sort of diagram on how you are connecting this equipment might be informativ...

Portable MM

I have MM on my laptop with my library residing on a NAS. I am going to be going on a trip and would like to be able to listen to my music. I have copied my library over to an external hard drive. I am thinking of installing MM on a thumb drive and using that to listen and browse the hard drive inst...

Re: album art deviation

Sorry, just resolved this by adjusting the frame. Hard to figure out why the art work for the other tracks showed up normal and this track didn't. Must have been on the hairy edge, I guess. Thanks anyhow.

album art deviation

Anybody have any idea why the album art differs on this one song? All the other songs shows normally but the one that is different is offset and appears dimmed. They artwork is stored in the same folder as all the songs and is the only artwork there. Thanks
