Re: Windows 8 File Explorer Not Displaying Artwork

You don't mention all that you tried so forgive me if you went down this road already. This sounds like a setting for the thumbnail view. Here is one thing I found regarding this in Win8. Maybe this will help. I noticed you are also using Classicshell as am I, only I am using Win7. I didn't see any ...

Command line control

I am using a an old Yahoo widget that will pause Winamp with an incoming phone call. This is accomplished by placing the statement "if ("0" != runCommand("\"C:\\Program Files\\Winamp\\CLAmp.exe\" /PID")) runCommand("\"C:\\Program Files\\Winamp\\CLAmp.exe\" /PAUSE ON");" in an input field for an eval...

Re: Media download quiery

All my friend's kids download "free" music and I am always having to go deal with all their computer problems. Free is a relative term. A good source for music is to hit up estate and garage sales for cheap used music.

Re: Database download to phone or iTouch

Another thing you could do is create a report that you open with a spreadsheet app on your phone or touch. If you have personal web space you can even make a web page with this information on it.

Re: How to connect to a NAS across the internet

You can use something OpenVPN. Most commercial NAS units come with something to allow you to do this. On the lines of NAS and FreeNAS, here is information on turning a Raspberry Pi into a low power NAS for the DIY.

Re: Make MediaMonkey available for Raspberry Pi

You can put windows on a thumb drive. XP , possibly WIN8 . Without any other OS support I think this is your only option. Edit: Raspberry Pi FAQ What operating system (OS) does it use? We recommend Debian as our default distribution. It’s straightforward to replace the root partition on the SD card ...

Re: parallel port question

Thanks Peke. I have been pretty busy so it has taken a bit of time before I could get back to this. I had found your suggestions but it seemed a bit daunting to me as I am a hardware guy. Shortly after posting my question I took a different tack and found this - http://slicksolutions.eu/ledsdriver.s...

parallel port question

Given the expertise at this forum for computers I thought I would seek some advice. I am looking for a way to set a bit high on a parallel port once windows has loaded. I thought this might be accomplished with a batch file. I am just trying to get a visual indication that a headless computer is up ...

Re: Barcode reader?

What information I have on your knowledge of bar codes is based on the scant information in your posts and any reply to such scant information is meant solely as an attempt to assist someone. Perhaps you should post your inquiry on coding forums. I would be interested in something similar myself. My...

Re: Barcode reader?

You can scan the barcode right into the google search. That will probably give you the greatest chance of success with finding on line information that you can copy and paste. The barcode itself is just a number and you need the information attached to the number to be of any use to you. You can als...

The one option you have is to copy the link you are interested in and then paste it into the browser of your choice.

You can see if you can find a FM transmitter with an ac to dc adapter or modify a car one with an adapter.

Where is it?

So where exactly is this latest version to be had? I went through this whole thread and there is the plugins.zip file which has older style interface and there is the MM_WAWI_Plugin.mmip file which I am assuming is something older judging by the edit date on the first post. Thanks.
