[REQ] Track Filtering on Now Playing

Let me apply "Filters" to the tracks that are currently playing, to select a subset of them. For example: I load up my "Galactic Rock Playlist" of 10,000 tracks, and start playing it. But I only want to listen to tracks rated 3-4; so I click on a "Filters" button, and in the dialog that pops up, the...

[SOLVED] AutoPlaylist Sort: Last Played by BUCKET

I would like an option in playlist sort order to group by "Last Played BUCKET". Right now, "Last Played" will play the same tracks in the same order every time (assuming no other playlist or random is selected), as the currently playing track will go to the end of the line - in the same order, over,...

Re: MM winding down?

That's awesome - a couple of years ago I had to finally retire a friend's 8GB 5 1/4 disk (yes, 5.25, and about 3-4 inches tall - for 8GB) from a 1998 Aptiva - so it was roughly 14-15 years old. Of course, it was slow as a dog by then... Just one warning: IDE drives now do a lot of surface cleaning o...

Renaming of Playlists doesn't Sync: MMW <-> MMA either way

Renaming of Playlists doesn't Sync: MMW <-> MMA either way I want to shorten my Playlist names for easier viewing on my phone, so I shortened a playlist that was already sync'd to my phone, for example: Category-Classical -> Cat - Classical I have tried changing it on MMW first, no change on MMA aft...

Re: MM winding down?

How old is your PC? How old is your hard drive? Hard drives can start failing at any time, but rarely last longer than 6-7 years (depending on useage, of course). A store-bought XP machine with its original HDD would be at least 9 years old (Vista was released January, 2007). Often, it starts with t...

Re: Podcasts showing twice [#13146] = DISPLAY RENDERING BUG

I have seen this many times myself, on regular mp3 tracks. I don't know what triggers it, but all of a sudden, there are duplicates displayed on screen. I am usually working with Auto Playlists. There are not duplicate files, and if I click away, and click back on the same display node, everything i...

Re: Analyze Volume and Level Track Volume Questions

Curious, I tried making 2 copies of an MP3 to test this: original (NO replay gain), one that I only "analyzed", and one that I "leveled". THERE IS NO PHYSICAL DIFFERENCE IN THE RESULTS. I'm not sure this is what is SUPPOSED to happen, I'm just reporting what I saw (4.1.10-1778). To compare results, ...

Bookmarks for Playlists

I'd like a bookmark feature for MUSIC playlists on MMA. What I mean by this: when I select a given playlist on MMA, it picks up where I last left off for *that* playlist. Since playlists (even autoplaylists) are static on MMA, why can't *each* playlist have a bookmark? That way, I'll eventually list...

Re: Genre listing is case sensitive

I have to say I'm not thrilled with the proposal: being consistent is better than it currently is, but not a real solution. It strikes me as more of a "computer coder/implementer's" solution than a "user-focused" solution. i.e. it is not about the user playback experience, but rather someone who pre...

Re: Ratings not honored / different between MMW & MMA

Thanks for the feedback. FYI I am syncing over WiFi. Also, I don't rate songs on MMW - only MMA, and only sync every few days. So I wouldn't think a small clock difference (i.e. < a few hours, although all my devices are within minutes of each other) could cause any problems - unless there was incor...

Ratings not honored / different between MMW & MMA

Hi - I am rating my songs in MMA, syncing them back to MMW. I sync a playlist for Unrated tracks (rating = unknown, or rating < .5), and a playlist for tracks >= 3. So I'm expecting songs that I rate will disappear off of the "Unrated" playlist, and either disappear from my phone, or migrate to the ...

Re: MediaMonkey for Android Help

Thanks for the quick reply - that's close to what I had guessed. BUT, I have 4 playlist options (out of6) at the bottom if I do a long press. Maybe this is because I have the MMA beta loaded? The icons are: 1) Arrow to the top of the list Assume this is "Play now, as-is, replacing current Now Playin...

Re: MediaMonkey for Android Help

The MMA help page for Play back ( http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/MediaMonkey_for_Android:_Playback ) is different from the MMA screen, and there's no doc that explains what the buttons (icons) do. For example, I just want to play all the tracks in a given Play list, INSTEAD OF whatever is...
