Re: Problem copying album art

Tested with both UNC and regular file paths. I can't reproduce this issue. How are you adding the album art? I'm dragging the image files from Windows Explorer, and dropping them into the album art pane (after selecting all tracks -- grrr -- the original topic of the thread :-?). The JPG is drive-b...

Re: Rate to bomb or zero stars

The problem is that in the main panel, moving the star to the halfway point is 1/2 star. Moving it further to the left is near impossible (too few pixels). We might be able to play with this, but that's why thus far, ratings can be changed to bomb or unknown via the Properties dropdown. Yeah, not a...

Re: Search feedback

MM is just so fast that this isn't needed :) The new DB literally screams compared to the old one, I'll grant ya that! Seriously...good point. I'll add this to the todo list. Very cool. All that's really needed is a "Searching..." cue of some sort. No need for actual progress% indication. Tha...

Request: Search status

Maybe I'm missing some "obvious" UI element, but I still don't see anyway to know whether a search has finished. Is there any way to know that I have all the results I'm going to get? If not, am I the only one who'd kinda like to know?

Thanks...

Re: "Problem with copying file [filename] to [filename] Cancel/Retry/Ignore? " This prevention has been already added in MM 3.0 Are you sure you are testing build 1081 ? I cannot reproduce with build 1081. I couldn't repro, either, initially here on another machine. But I think I've discovered the ...

Yes, it's definitely 1081. Just downloaded it the day before. Will try it again, here on the office machine, to see if it's machine specific in any way. On a related note, it would be nice if the checkbox for "Save image to album folder" remembered how it was last set. Or, if the image is already in...

D'oh!

MediaMonkey :: View topic - MM ignoring default browser

Makes total sense, in that respect. Sucks of course, but makes sense.

Why not use default web browser?

Why does MM insist on using Internet Explorer for web tasks - such as when you click on an album name or cover in the Auto-Tag from Web dialog? It always opens up the Amazon page using IE, even though another browser has been designated as the user preference. As a programmer, I know this actually t...

Adding album art requires selecting tracks first

In MM2, you could drag a JPG into the Album Art preview window, and you would be prompted for assignment (front/back, all tracks, etc.?). In MM3, you first have to select all the tracks, then you can drag the JPG into the preview window. Also, if you don't uncheck "Save image to album folder" and th...

Makes sense, for consistency, that it's available at any time by right-clicking on the stars. I have 50,000 songs, all unrated. No desire whatsoever to start now. :o

Truncated MP3

Using MM3b3 in XP/SP1. Did my normal "check-in" procedure with an album folder: * Auto-Tagged from Amazon * Ran the case-check script * Manually modified a few other tags (genre, etc) * Ran the auto-increment track# script * Auto-Organized filenames * Converted audio format to VBR, overwriting Didn'...

No way to "unrate" a song?

Seems if you accidentally add a rating to a song, there's no way to remove it. All you can do is set it back down to 0, which shows it as a bomb. I'd like to have a way to say a song is "unrated". Not possible?

Thanks...

Also try File > Maintain Database as this will help. Oh yeah, being a longtime Access user, that's a familiar one! I'm not sure if mapped drive slowness is a pure MediaMonkey issue or something that is caused by Windows itself. The location node does get slow for some users especially in a networke...

Performance hit huge with remote DB

Hi -- First post here. Love the product, and have found solutions or workarounds for everything but this, so far. I'm using MM (v2.5.4) on two machines, both running XP, networked at 100Mbps. Data transfers are incredibly fast between them. All media are stored on one, and there is absolutely no pro...
