Re: What are the risks of leveling volume for my entire libr

No, I have about 1600 songs from CD's loaded into MM as MP3's and I run the analyze feature, after a while it looked like it was done but gave me the "media monkey is unable to decode this format".
I deleted the eagles CD and quit getting the error, if I hit analyse volume now, nothing happens.

Re: What are the risks of leveling volume for my entire libr

I may have spoke to soon, after trying to analyze it says "media monkey is unable to decode this format"

I have been taking music CD's I have and ripping them to MP3 @ 320 bit rate, that not right?

Looks like it doesn't like the eagles, I think we're ok now... I hope. :D

Re: What are the risks of leveling volume for my entire libr

"If you enable the option to analyze volume for unanalyzed tracks you don't need to do anything else."

It appears the free version won't let me select this??

Lowlander wrote:Any new files added will need to be analyzed if they haven't been before. You can have MediaMonkey do this automatically (Tools > Options > Volume Leveling).
Just set like that and don't worry about analyzing?

Re: What are the risks of leveling volume for my entire libr

If you analyze volume only once, what do you do when you add more music?
Do I need to move the analyzed music to a separate file?

Storing and exporting ?

Did the search thing until I got totally confused. So I gave up and decided to post. I'm new to MM and the Ipod, and trying to load MM with Mp3's and then export them to my Ipod. How do I keep the new stuff separate from already exported music? I'm thinking playlists or something like that maybe but...

Re: What are the risks of leveling volume for my entire libr

Yes, it can introduce artifacts. It also may be unnecessary as MediaMonkey can level when streaming and level when syncing (not needed for Apple devices as Soundcheck is used). All you need to do is Analyze Volume on all files. Does this mean if I'm going to transfer music files from MM to my Ipod ...

Keeping track of music ?

I've used MM in the past a bit, but still learning, I just bought an Ipod and want to load music as I go, how do I keep track of what I have already loaded so I don't add it again when I load the Ipod with more music from MM? Didn't find anything in search, but wasn't quite sure what to look for. TI...
