MM creates 1700 threads

Hi, due to some bug MM creates a *massive* amount of threads. See this taskmanager screenshot, which is sorted descending by number of threads: http://www.dm17.com/~wl/threads2.PNG At this time MM was minimized and otherwise unused for about a day. I only noticed this because it suddenly began to po...

You can already configure where the all node appears (top/bottom) or turn it off. I think that is more than enough. Adding another button would be adding bulk. Well, I made a point why the "all" node has drawbacks. Regardless if on top or on bottom. Turning it off is possible but does not do anythi...

Steegy, I guess it all comes down to a matter of personal taste. Some like shortcuts, some like context menus, some like main menus and others like toolbar buttons. If I am not mistaken scripts can put additional items into all of these places. I certainly would not mind to create a mini script whic...

I think I would want to toggle it frequently. It is handy on nodes with several subfolders, eg. albums on an artist's node. But not on the top most nodes which simply have too many files in their subtree. I expect that I activate the button ad-hoc to see what's all below this node and then turn it o...

Nobody? There does not seem to be a list of possible fields - except if the only fields available are those displayed in the auto-organize dialog (on a toolbar). I suppose there is no severe reason not to be able to use other fields as well, e.g. what about Comment Rating Tempo Mood Occasion Quality...

Steegy wrote:@DC: This currently isn't possible, but could be a nice wish for some future version of MediaMonkey. (see "Wishlist" forum).
It's not yet on a wishlist for as far as I know.
Done.

Toolbar button to toggle recurse-directories in tree

The tree can show special "All" tree nodes in order to have all subcontent displayed in the file list including the files in subfolders. I like this ability but find the extra "All" node confusing. It stands out too little from normal folders and makes the tree bigger, especially on nodes which only...

Thanks. Moving folders one by one works but would take loong (as I wrote). But FileMonitor picks up the moved folders just fine when I move them in Explorer, hence I am doing that now.

Moving many folders without auto-organize files

Consider the following scenario: two folders C:\Folder1 C:\Folder2 each with several subfolders and files already added to the library. Now I want to move everything from Folder2 to Folder1 while preserving the directory structure and filenames. I would rather not use auto-organize because tags and ...

Show all files of the whole subtree

Is it possible to have all files in a directory displayed in the right hand side list, recursing into subdirectories? I know I can have an "All" node added to the tree but it is rather confusing. I would like to have a toolbar button which switches recurse on/off...

Well a software update could restructure the database. About the 255 character limit, there is a windows constant MAX_PATH or something like that which used to be 255 (including the filename) and it is commonly used to reserve that much space for a filename. I don't know if maybe NTFS does not have ...
