I stopped using the My Documents folder for storing my documents a long time ago, too much non-documents stored there. :P I recently did the same and set the location of my-documents back to its default. The only way not to be bothered with my-ebooks, borland-studio-projects (a special red raf to m...

I was having a similar issue yesterday, MM wouldn't start again right after I closed it. It was not in the process list anymore (task manager). After 30-60s I tried it again and then it worked.

Which fields can be used for auto-organize-files?

Frequently I have files with one artist featuring another one and the artist tag would then be something like "artist1 feat. artist2". This is fine for the filename but is bad for the database since I have several entries "artist1 feat. x", "artist1 feat. y", "artist1 feat. z" in the artist node. To...

According to the online help OR is used automatically if more than one cireterion for the same field is added to the search. Of course this does not help you for a search over different fields. Also wished to have that feature though...

That is what I did. But some of them keep reappearing after a while (restart of MM probably involved) although MM does not show any songs actually classified into one of these unwanted categories.

I found a table which compares the different file formats with respect to their tag compatibility. It does not explicitly mention which tags are stored solely in the DB but I suppose if there is a full row of "No"'s for each file format this would be a DB only tag. There are only two such tags: 1. T...

Which song properties are DB only properties?

Can anyone shed some light on which song properties are stored in some song tags and which ones are only stored into the database? In other words, if the DB is lost due to some circumstances, can everything be retrieved from the song tags alone? Or which info would be lost forever... I am especially...

Removed classifications keep re-appearing?!

Recently I have consolidated the classification choices for mood, occasion and tempo. That is I have dragged and dropped all titles from a mood (etc) classification I didn't want to keep into another mood classification. Then I removed that mood classification. So far so good. But now, don't know wh...

Everything I reported regarding Now-Playing is sorted out :P - now I can go to tag land (I am afraid it will be a long journey). The following might be a wishlist item but is also related to one of the fixes so I mention it here: would be nice if the title which is now playing would not be displayed...

Yes, I use Winamp 5.0c as player. I can confirm that it works with the built in player. What exactly is the problem here? Dragging from Now-Playing to a playlist should be doable because the dragged songs are known during the drag/drop and the target playlist is MM internal anyway. Dragging from a p...

Any chance to have this sorted out anytime soon? Of all the Now-Playing related bugs this one is especially annoying and practically stops me from using MM because I cannot rate and classify the title currently playing.

DC do not get me wrong as I mainly agree, but there is clear reasons that MM do that. 1. MultiUser computer. 2. No Spyware (User allways know what is gong with and in MM) 3. most of programs just write most of settings in Registry (one wrong Answer and you got problem if you are normal user) 4. as ...

It is quite annoying that many programs do create directories in there as they like. If I delete all these it does not take long until I have My Pictures, My Music, My eBooks (!), My Videos and what not again. Formerly it seemed to be a good idea to use that directory for own stuff (although I have ...
