<Auto Number> and iPod Shuffle

I use <Auto Number> to simulate a playlist on devices that don't support a playlist. The iPod Shuffle DOES support a single playlist but so far MM doesn't write it properly so I can play tracks in my desired order. The biggest problem with <Auto Number> is that if I change a single track in the play...

Database error (3.0.3.1140)

I have a corrupt database that the "Compress" option cannot fix. I'm willing to rebuild it but I want to save my playlists and podcast list first. I see no way to do this. I have a long list of podcasts an playlists. I'm not going to add them back one by one. No OPML export??? I have a podcast I can...

Can MediaMonkey co-exist with Rhapsody?

I just started playing with Rhapsody channels but after using MM to update other content on my Sansa Clip, Rhapsody channels no longer play. I am telling MM to ignore "\Record\, \Service\" when deleting files. Do I have to update Rhapsody channels after I update with MM? It's hard to do that since I...

MM isn't a secure ripper, so there really is no comparison to EAC or dbpoweramp ripper. If you don't care about 'secure' ripping, then MM should rip fine unless there are scratches or other defects with the cd. But if you want to know whether a rip is 'secure' or error free, then you will need to u...

It is really just a matter of your preference. Rip a few CDs with Mediamonkey and test the results. Are you happy with the sound quality, the speed at which it rips, etc? I have not had a great experience with MM's CD ripping, (random errors, slow speed, etc.) but I'm sure others swear by it. Of co...

Should I use EAC over MM to rip my CDs?

I want to get really good rips from my CDs and MM seems to have the encoding options I want. Many people swear by Exact Audio Copy (EAC). I've been trying it out but except for strange pregap stuff (hidden tracks) and preserving the exact layout of a CD, is there much benefit of ripping with EAC as ...

Associated files icon in Explorer (Vista)

I found a cool icon that looks like a vinyl record and I want to find an easy way to use that as my Explorer icon for files associated with MM. I have used Microangelo to update the execute file without any problem But I'm afraid this could corrupt the exe file at some point and I don't want to have...

Re: MM3 Podcast feedback

Installed MM3 and was very happy to see podcast support. I have still been using the old Juice program because i couldnt find anything better. Now MM seems to do a good job. One thing that is lacking though is an opml file import support. I know you can import a directory, but it only seems to acce...

Any chance you could give us access to a build that has this fixed, unless you plan to release RC-4 very soon?

I don't want to miss episodes.

I am having a similar error with the Dr. Floyd podcast. Feed: http://www.DoctorFloyd.com/blog/rss.xml

It started happening last week when there was a new episode for Thanksgiving. I was using MM RC-2. Still happening with RC 3. I had to download the episode manually.

Thanks,

Seems to sync just fine although I've just had mine one day, thanks to Best Buy's black Friday sale.

Synch without copying all existing tracks again (Zen Stone)

I have a playlist for podcasts I like to use instead of built in podcast syncing. I use my Zen Stone for podcasts. It is mounted as an external hard drive and uses d_WMDM.dll. I use <Auto Number> on my Zen Stone to set the play order since it doesn't support playlists. When I add tracks to the playl...

in Vista, that just brings up "Task Manager"

MM never did freeze, just the task. It never would finish, even though all the files had been copied.

MM3 RC1 Synch Zen Stone hangs

This is the first version that has this problem. I'm using d_WMDM.dll to synch my Zen Stone with a single playlist. It seems to work fine but it hangs when done, showing a full progress bar forever. It won't terminate and when I close MM, it says "Task still active".

Thanks,
Tim
