Message Box Text Cut Off

On a number of message boxes that pop-up, the box is too narrow and the text is cut off. For example: Database update ____ ... (should say "completed") Product was successfully ____ ... (should say "installed") Currently no input plug-in is in use (no Track is ____ ... (should sa...

the barrel of monkeys icon is what they wanted to look like I haven't seen any official statement from the developers saying that they specifically wanted a "barrel of monkeys" style icon. Have you? I believe that the icon was done by CleverStarfish, and it was probably chosen due to a la...

Looks More LiKe A Horse Just Died. You are probably right, it could be rovingcowboy's version of a dying horse. I didn't think about that. If we can get past the horse joke, doesn't anyone have an opinion on this? Am I the only one who dislikes this icon? The thing is everywhere. It's in the Start ...

Re: Leave the icon alone!

The new MM3 icon really leaves something to be desired. I wish this thread hadn't died out before someone came up with something better. Any chance we can still do something about this? Anyone want to revive this topic, or am I just beating a dead horse? :-? It's mainly the small 16x16 icon that's a...

New MAD Input Plug-in with Gapless Support

Hi - This thread is to let everyone know that I have added gapless playback support to the MAD input plug-in. This new version removes the unwanted silence at the beginning and end of MP3 files. The current recommended solution for gapless playback is to use the DirectSound output plug-in, and to ch...

The problem is that although I use in_!mpg123.dll I don't get gapless playback with mediamonkey... :-? in_!mpg123.dll will only take care of issue #2. What output plugin are you using? Do you have it properly configured for gapless playback? Try using the DirectSound plugin (out_ds.dll). Click &quo...

In trying to figure out what is going on I have also noticed that when I play the physical CD the track time counter gets to the end of the track resets to zero and continues to play music for two to three seconds while staying at zero. Then it flips over to the next track and starts counting up ag...

You can hide some tree nodes with a simple script:

Code: Select all

' Hide some nodes in the tree

SDB.MainTree.Node_Location.Visible = false
SDB.MainTree.Node_Rating.Visible = false
SDB.MainTree.Node_Classification.Visible = false
Save this to a .vbs file and place in your Scripts\Auto folder.

Regarding the sizing of the images, it would be nice if there was an option to simply select how many images are displayed horizontally. Then you could set this to say 6 or 7, and the images would be automatically sized to fit perfectly on the screen. I think this would be better than adjusting a sl...

Re: YES!

SUGGESTION : Have a "dual window" MM. Window 1 is what MM is today, then you use TABBED BROWSING opening Window 2 which is where MM has pulled up all album covers from your collection. I don't care for the idea of tabs. Personally, I prefer Zarkie's original idea of simply switching the r...

Can't get in_mp3.dll to work

Can anyone tell me how to get the latest Winamp input plugin to work? I've read posts from other users who say they simply copied in_mp3.dll into the MediaMonkey\Plugins folder and it works. However, on my system the plugin does not show up in the list. Removing the standard MP3 input plugins does n...

All of this talk about gapless playback is really off-topic and should probably be moved to another forum, but I'll make just one last comment. It has been asserted here that MP3's are incapable of perfect gapless playback, but I don't believe that is true. I just played back some MP3 tracks using V...

Could it be related to the Input plug-in, I have no idea. You're right, it is the input plugin that's bad. MediaMonkey installed a new version 1.3 of the MP3 input plugin (in_wmp3.dll). This plugin is only used with the waveOut plugin, so that's why the problem goes away when I switch to the Direct...

DirectSound should always be used whenever possible. Why do you say that? DirectSound is a higher level API that just adds more layers for the sound to go through. The waveOut plugin always worked perfectly for me before. With the DirectSound plugin, I have tried various settings for the "Buff...
