Also, if you don't have an <album> specified then the <album artist> will not be displayed. I think your problem was more likely to be about writing to the tags, but thought I'd mention this for others.

I'm not good with SQL and fairly new to Magic Nodes, but don't you just create a node like this:

Duplicates|SQL filter:_yourSQL_\<artist>

It sounds like you're supposed to execute this script outside of MM - is that correct?

ADDITION: Yes, you can run this script outside of MM and it classifies your tracks. After you've added the headings to the "Lists" table in the .mdb as mentioned above of course! :)

What type of files are you using, and what type of tags?

FYI: MixMeister do a very good FREE piece of software that automatically tags your mp3s with BPM values (possibly other filetypes as well, I'm not sure)

Well the only thing I can think is that your BPM values not set right. However, if you're certain they are, then I have absolutely no idea. Really sorry I can't help!

Philby wrote:ALL tracks are selected.
You don't select the tracks. You just go to the Magic Nodes, click on the +, then you get the different headings (Unknown, Largo ...) and click on the +. This should list all the songs. No tracks need to be selected at any time.

Have you got any other Magic Nodes?

Teknojnky quoted a section from the ReadMe about moving the .ini file. It's in another thread somewhere about adding the DBName.

Glad I could be of help.

In that My Music/MonkeyMedia folder there is an .ini file - move this to the same folder as the application. In the .ini file find the [system] section and add item: DBName=a:\folder\containing\MediaMonkey.mdb This should fix your problem. This is mentioned in another thread, but I don't know which!...

I appreciate the attempt. The problem is that I want the process to run in the background (whilst I'm doing other things) so would want the priority to be lower. Then if I had another thread that was even lower, it would slow the first one down, and carry on being very slow once the first is done. H...
