Re: SQL error while doing Maintenance
This is a 2-year old thread (with just one message), but I'm reopening it because no one replied to the original post. I just got the same error as @bonalymac (see his post) when doing Maintain Library with the Optimize (Complete) option. "Retry" doesn't work... it just repeats the same er...

This is just a story of reassurance for anyone wanting to use ZvezdanD's script. I acquired a new HDD and added it to my desktop PC, keeping the old one. I copied all my media folders to the new drive: 2 folders (and lots of sub folders) in the root directory. (That took quite awhile.) I reassigned ...

Ignore some punctuation when sorting
I don't think this has been asked for in this forum yet, so here goes. Right now, MM ignores the apostrophe when it sorts Song Titles. For example, the titles "You Don't Believe Me" and "You Dont Believe Me" sort the same. I like that. It would be nice if other embedded punctuati...

Re: Ignore Prefixes for Fields Other Than Artist [#4564]
I want to bump this thread. I see that this has had an open ticket for 7 years now. Like other commenters in this thread, I'd love to see the option to ignore the selected prefix in other fields besides the Artist and Album Artist. I agree that Album and Title are the most obvious candidates. This e...

Re: MMW "flashes" when updating tags
Lowlander, thank you so much. I must have maximized the status bar accidentally. I got it minimized, and now: problem solved!

MMW "flashes" when updating tags
This is an odd problem, and it may not be regarded as a problem. I'll post it anyway to see what reaction there is, if any. Sometimes - a lot of the time but not all the time - when I update a field in a track, MM "flashes" when doing the update. It didn't used to do this for me, and it's ...

Help with General Plug-in AMIP
Hello. I have a couple of questions about how MMW interacts with the AMIP plug-in. If this isn't the proper place to ask, please forgive me. I'm using the Advanced mIRC Integration Plug-In (AMIP) v 2.67 which is gen_irc.dll. AMIP takes data as produced by MMW while a song is playing and creates a te...

Passing meta data to webcast?
I don't even know how to ask this question intelligently, but I'll try. I do a music-oriented video webcast. I use MMW 4 as my music player. I see other people who do similar casts automatically display the artist, album, and song title in the video window as the track is playing. I know at least so...

Re: Custom Report 3.1 - Updated 25/10/2013
Hmmm. That seems very odd, Dalarath. Thanks for reporting your experience. I also have MMW 4.1.1.1703 Gold, a clean install, non-roaming, running on Win 8.1 x64 Pro. I wonder what might cause you & I to get different results? I'll play with it some more when I get time.

Re: Composer entry from track list
It's more than just having to use End (a key that doesn't have a standard placement on the keyboard) vs. Enter (a key that does have a standard placement and btw is larger, making it easier to use for data entry). In MM3 when editing from the Filelisting (and, btw, still when editing in the Properti...

Re: Help with Stop After Current
You are correct, and I plead guilty to providing some of that feedback. (I'm sure I also asked for it to be a user choice.) In the ensuing discussion, I became convinced that there were circumstances where it would be best for it not to advance to the next song. As it turns out (karma?), for the pas...

Help with Stop After Current
I'm a little gun shy after some earlier posts in different threads, but here goes. The situation: I am playing a music playlist and there are songs queued up that haven't played yet. I want the currently-playing song (let's call it Song #1) to stop when it is done, so I press the Stop After Current ...

Re: Restricting searches
I'm posting again here to correct my misunderstanding. I now know that, in order to get Search to do what I want, I need to check the Search Whole Words Only box in Options > Search. Then, If I search on title:arm , I'll just get songs with the word "arm" in the title. If I search instead ...

Re: Composer entry from track list
And as stated it's a setting allowing the user to control what Search returns, so nothing was removed, it was made an option on how it behaves. Lowlander, I read what you said here and I'm thinking, what is he talking about? What am I missing? So I went back and looked at Options > Search and check...
