CDs still opening Rip CD in v4, not v5
How can I ensure that when I insert a CD it will open the Rip window in MM 5, not continue to do so in MM 4?

Bit confused over destination for Auto-tag in MM5
Just switched over to MM5's excellent auto-tag from Web, once I realised that MM4 no longer seems to support this. EDIT: In case anyone ends up here and hasn't seen my subsequent posts. I was wrong about the above, and am now getting apparently good tags from the web (FreeDB?) before ripping. One th...

Re: Automatic ripping window sometimes fails to appear
I’m asking why, when I insert a CD into the PC tray, with MM running, I sometimes don’t get the Ripping window.

Using Auto-Tag From Filenames, how to get this?
I have some albums with rather oddly structured filenames. For example, using Auto-Tag from Filename, how do I get from filenames like this... I:\MusicForSD\JANET'S CDS\Mozart - Clarinet Concerto, K622 - Sinfonia Concertante, K364\Clarinet Concerto, K622 - I.Allegro.mp3 to tags like this: Album = Mo...

Automatic ripping window sometimes fails to appear
I haven't done any ripping for years but now tackling about 80 old CDs. When I insert one, I usually get the ripping window and can then just click OK. But sometimes the window doesn't appear. I've had to eject/repeat up to four times before it does. Is there some well known cause? Anything else I c...

Re: Music folder location changed
Thanks Erwin. Before seeing your post I impatiently took the simple route in File Explorer of dragging all the D:\My Music folders to D:\Music and then removing the duplicates and tidying up a bit. I've so far done only a cursory check but think this will allow me to finish the immediate task (by th...

Re: Music folder location changed
But as that's at track level, and most of the folders (artists) have just one track, it will be a tedious process! No quicker way at folder level?

Music folder location changed
It's taken me a year or so to notice this so I expect it has an embarrassingly obvious cause! For several decades, on successive PCs and Windows operating systems, I've kept my music in D:\Music . It currently contains about 12,000 tracks and is 24 GB in size. But I've just noticed that that I have ...

Setting start up folder?
Just installed MMW5 and so unfamiliar with some aspects. For example, what is the default view on running the program? How can I set it to re-open at the same view please? I'd like it to show all the tracks in the folder to which I've now navigated.

Re: How to Auto-Tag these filenames?
Of course, embarrassingly obvious now that I remember it!
And the purpose of the checkboxes also now recalled, namely allowing for selective implementation when multiple tracks selected; or All.

Re: How to Auto-Tag these filenames?
Hi Lowlander, thanks, that does it! It's actually an assigned sequence number I generated in another tool (Bulk Rename Utility). Don't know what I was doing wrong before but <Track#>-<Title> now works fine. Does MM always assume that any successive numbers at the start of a filename constitute the T...

Re: Opening an M3U playlist not working
Thanks, appreciate your usual fast reply. But as you see from this annotated screenshot I reckon I must have changed most of the names - or MM did it without my say so!
