Artwork

Postby VetteZ51 » Wed May 30, 2012 11:20 am

I have been working with MM for a long time... I have been setting up my artwork by cutting and paste, sometimes I have up one to six images in a single file. I also, use the description filed to record info from the 7" record. When everything is done, I click the Ok button and clean up the art work in the corresponding file. I do this to clean up duplicates. Now, I see a blank page with the right top artwork letter turned down, along with my other artwork, when, I delate the art work with the extensions *.thm to save space. You end up with, the art work is gone, leaving and in it's place is a record with a music note top right, leaving my descrition alone. When you go back into the file the orginal art work is still there in the folder.

In the past this did not occur when I updated a song, I would have one art work showing the orginal cover and the other showing showing the record. When you closed the file after you where done updating it, I still had to delate the dupilacate copy that showed up after you closed the file, but, it did not cause the art work to disappear in MM.

What should I do? I have in the option field under Artwork, image location: Save image to tag(if Possible) and to file folder. First image is to *.jpg and formate for mutiple images *.thm.

Sounds like you're removing files outside of MediaMonkey,, files that are the artwork that MediaMonkey uses?

It does not matter which art work you delate in the file folder, the one that was created by MM when the file was closed or the one that was orginally put in the file.

It does not matter which art work you delate in the file folder, the one that was created by MM when the file was closed or the one that I orginally put in the file. I just did it both ways again the only way to be able to see both art works, is to let one copy of *.Jpg exist & one copy of *.thm to remain in the file folder. What you wind up with in the folder is two art works and two blank pages marked*.thm.

If you remove the *.thm yo will note have a image.

That would seem expected, if you remove the images associated with the songs they will no longer show.

That would be the case if you delated the only copy of the art work in question. What we have is, take a file and create a single song. In that folder of the file you will have the mp3 and the cover art. And if you add additional art you could have two. when you close the song folder in MM, open up the file folder of the song in question on your hard drive, what you will see is a dupilicate (sort of) but one will have the extension of *.thm and the other *jpg. If, you delate the file with the *.thm and then open the file in MM, you will find that you know longer have a picture to see... and, when you open the file in MM, under art work the art work will be as I have stated.

I love the new interface of MM, but do not like that I now have to have additional images for every one that I create. When click on the art work as your song is playing you have the option of being able to see art work 1 or 2. Is there a phone number anywhere that one could talk too?
