Settings Not Being Saved

Postby evie210 » Tue Jun 05, 2012 8:36 am

When I open Media Monkey to my music I want to see only 3 things in this order-Artist, Title, Length.

What I actually see is Title, Artist, Album, Date, Genre, Rating, etc.

I delete the things I don't want. I move the Artist tab to the first position.

When I'm finished listening to my music I close Media Monkey.

The next time I open MM sometimes the order/settings are as I want them. Other times they are not-it has reverted back to Title, Artist, Album, etc. I first noticed this a couple of weeks ago. Prior to that time the settings did not change.

HOW do I get them to stick so I don't have to reset and get rid of what I don't want to see?

edit to add: I do have the latest version.

If this has been addressed elsewhere in the forum please post the link. I did look first and if it is there I did not see it.

This should work in MediaMonkey 4. Are you tagging in the My Computer node?

Who is your comment addressed to? I may be wrong but the issue reported by guest is NOT the same as the one I am asking about.

*sigh* Two seemingly different issues in the same topic confuses those of us who are reading any replies and who have to wade through them to determine whether a reply is meant for you or someone else. (I did report and ask that the post by guest be split to a separate topic).

guest, you need to make sure you close MediaMonkey properly and also know that column settings are done per Collection. Also make sure you use the latest release of MediaMonkey.

After I had to reset twice today I decided to uninstall and reinstall Media Monkey. So far so good. I hope it stays that way.
