Library on MediaMonkey Startup
As for you guys reading my posts, you can probably tell that i am a novice at MediaMonkey, but i do like it. One question that i have is, everytime i startup MediaMonkey, i have to locate all my music on the "windows explorer" like pane on the left every single time. It takes awhile since it is deep into my c:/ drive, but isnt there a way where it should just show up everytime i start?
You may want to consider using the 'library' node instead of the my computer node.
Also, search for the favorite nodes and startup nodes scripts in the scripts forum.
These 2 scripts will let you set a specific node/path to start up at, as well as adding a 'favorites' shorcut menu to quickly navigate to often used folders/nodes.

Perhaps someday some of the more advanced features will be fully integrated in to mediamonkey, but with the capabilities of the scripting engine and the clever guys who script, many features can and have been implemented via scripting since its directly available to the users to modify to their desires within the limits of their imagination (and scripting limits).

As for other useful scripts, browse the script forum and see what topics interest you.
Several to look for include scrobblerDJ, google art finder, batch art finder, browse by art, auto-rate, a few different scripts that generate reports/web pages... and many more.
One also I've done myself is tweakmonkey, which lets set some advanced settings, many that are only available by script (currently). Link is in my sig.

Nodes are the parts of the window containing the library/artists/albums/my computer etc. Each thing that 'expands' to show more information is a 'node'.
If you have added your tracks to the MM library by doing the 'add/re-scan' files function, tracks should show up organized in the various artist/albums/genres etc nodes.
These nodes will show all of the files in your library, you select a node you want to view then the track list window will display the details of the tracks. You can add/remove the fields by right clicking on the column headers, you can change their position by dragging a column to where you want it. You can sort by clicking a column, click it again to reverse sort it, CONTROL click multiple columns to sort by more than one.
As far as scrobbler dj, its basically like a dynamically generated playlist. When you play a single track, or the last track of your playlist starts, it will add a related track from your library. I've recently posted a journal @ my last.fm page which goes into more detail.

From there you can also explore last.fm and maybe learn about some new music/artists.
