MilkDrop Fullscreen error

Post by Darthbith » Fri Jun 22, 2007 12:48 pm

Hi all,
I'm having a problem getting MilkDrop to run fullscreen. It opens fine in windowed mode, but if I try to get it to fullscreen (either by selecting full screen from the context menu, double clicking or alt+enter), it quits. Most times the screen changes to black like its loading, but then it quits, and doesn't even bring up the windowed mode again. I've had this working before, so I don't know what happened.
Using WinXP SP2, MM 2.5.5.998 Gold, MilkDrop 1.04b. I've set the fullscreen resolution to be the same as my monitor's native resolution (1920x1200), and also lower values (eg 1024x768). The only difference is that my video card pops up a message at the lower resolutions saying that it would look best at 1920x1200.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I tried reinstalling/upgrading my video drivers to no avail. Does anyone know whats up? Or a better place to post this?

Thanks!

Same thing happened to me.

Quick fix:
Tools -> Options -> Visualization Plug-ins -> MilkDrop -> Configure
Check "Use Fake fullscreen mode."

It's not exactly a solution, but it works.

Thanks, but that didn't help. :-? Any other ideas?
Perhaps some information about my hardware would be helpful. I'm using a Latitude D810, with an ATI Radeon X300 with 64 MB VRAM. I've got a gig of system memory, and as I mentioned previously, I've got the 1920x1200 display.

Thanks!

It happens to me, too. It worked perfectly until a few days ago, then it just didn't want to go to full screen any more. It just quits. I tried both normal full screen or fake full screen. I even tried reinstalling MediaMonkey (latest version). :(

Milkdrop fullscreen crash

Post by bd3d » Fri Apr 25, 2008 3:06 am

heya. I went full screen with Milkdrop and it's frozen my system. The music's still playing and I have access to some of my keyboard commands, but I can't force quit Milkdrop and I'm stuck!
