No songs listed in imported playlists

Post by gggirlgeek » Sun Feb 17, 2008 7:05 pm

In order to backup my playlsts before clearing my library I exported them to m3u's with MM. Now when I scan my files back to the Library there are no songs listed in my imported playlists, but the m3u's play fine when I open them from explorer.

I have tried playing with the Inferred options with no luck.

Using 3.0.3.1137

I assume you've hit the plus sign next to Imported playlists, and when you click on a playlist under that, no music shows up?

Yes. They also don't sync any songs to my player anymore. It says "no files" when I mouse over them in autosync. I've tried re-importing too.

MM seems to think the file locations don't exist any longer or something.

I solved the problem. I had not cleared my library by the traditional method, but simply selected all the tunes and pressed delete, hoping to keep my playlists while rescanning my files.

That didn't work obviously.

So I finally cleared everything through the File menu and, low and behold, my m3u files imported as they should. In addition, it saved my podcast subscriptions. So I am happy.

Thanks
